Abstract

Se revelan profármacos de lobucavir de la formula (I), en donde R1 y R2 son ambos formula (II), o en donde uno de R1 y R2 es hidrogeno y el otro esformula (II); y una sal farmacéuticamente aceptable de los mismos. Dichos compuestos son utiles agentes antivirales. Estos compuestos son profármacosde lobucavir y producen cantidades antiviralmente efectivas de lobucavir después de la administracion. También se revelan las aplicaciones y losmétodos de tratamiento que utilizan dichos compuestos.Lobucavir prodrugs of the formula (I) are revealed, wherein R1 and R2 are both formula (II), or where one of R1 and R2 is hydrogen and the other is a formula (II); and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. Such compounds are useful antiviral agents. These compounds are prodrugs of lobucavir and produce antivirally effective amounts of lobucavir after administration. The applications and methods of treatment using said compounds are also disclosed.
