Abstract
Se relaciona con fragmentos aislados de ácidos nucleicos que codifican toda o una porcion substancial de una proteína acetiltransferasa de maíz,arroz o trigo. La invencion también se relaciona con la construccion de un gen quimérico que codifica toda o una porcion de una proteína histonaacetiltransferasa de maíz, arroz o trigo, con orientacion en el sentido del marco de lectura o antisentido, donde la expresion del gen quimérico da comoresultado la produccion de niveles alterados de una proteína histona acetiltransferasa de maíz, arroz o trigo en una célula huésped transformada.La invencion también se relaciona con la direccion de una proteína histona acetiltransferasa de maíz, arroz o trigo hacia una nueva region promotora porla adicion de un dominio de union a ADN o de un dominio de interaccion proteína-proteína, para acetilar la histona nuclear, debilitar lainteraccion entre las histones nucleares y el ADN, abrir la estructura de la cromatina e incrementar la eficacia de la iniciacion de la transcripcion,lo cual conduce a un mayor nivel de expresion de los genes.It is associated with isolated nucleic acid fragments that encode all or a substantial portion of a corn, rice or wheat acetyltransferase protein.
