Abstract

[(CH2CH2O) qCH2CH2] and [-CH2CH (OH) CH2O- (CH2CH2O) qCH2CH (OH) CH2] - where q is approximately 1 to 100. If present, each R is independently selected from C1-C4 alkyl, C2-C12 alkylaryl, or AR1 may be absent in some nitrogens, however at least 3 nitrogens must be quaternized; A is of formula II where R3 is selected from H or C1-C3 alkyl, n is from about 5 to 100, and B is selected from H, C1-C4 alkyl, acetyl or or benzoyl, m is from about 1 to 4, and X is a petticoat soluble anion. The levels of AQP dispersants used to prepare the finished laundry detergent compositions can range from about 0.1% to about 10%, typically from about 0.4% to about 5% by weight. The use of the aforementioned AQP dispersants to improve the overall cleaning performance of detergent compositions containing other known ingredients.
