Abstract

Se provee un alimento y un método de utilizacion para incrementar el contenido de ácido grasos insaturados en los tejidos y en la leche de rumiantes.Un alimento preferido está compuesto por un substrato de forraje mezclado con un ingrediente de amida alifática insaturada tal como la amida de soja. La amidaalifática insaturada es resistente a la biohidrogenacion, atravesando la panza esencialmente intacta. La amida alifática es convertida en el tracto digestivo aácido graso libre, y es absorbida subsecuentemente en los tejidos y en la leche de los rumiantes.
