Abstract
Un método para la proteccion de plantas contra el ataque de patogenos, a través de una resistecia a enfermedades sinérgica lograda mediante laaplicacion de un microbicida convencional a plantas inmunomoduladas. Las plantas inmunomoduladass on aquellas en las cuales RAS es activado, y por lotanto son referidas como plantas RAS-activadas. Las plantas inmunomoduladas pueden ser proporcionadas de por lo menos tres formas diferentes: mediante laaplicacion a las plantas, de uninductor q uímico de RAS, como BTH, INA, o SA; a través de un programa de cultivacion selectivo basado en la expresionconstitutiva de genes RAS y/o un fenotipo resistente a enfermedades; o mediante la transformacion de las plantas con uno o másgenes RAS como una formafuncional del gen en NIM1. Mediante la aplicacion concurrente de un microbicida a una planta inmunomodulada, la resistencia a enfermedades esinesperadamente realzada en forma sinérgica; es decir, el nivel deresistencia a enfer medades es mayor que los niveles de resistencia a enfermedades aditivosesperados.A method for the protection of plants against the attack of pathogens, through a synergistic resistance to diseases achieved by the application of a conventional microbicide to immunomodulated plants. Immunomodulated plants are those in which RAS is activated, and are therefore referred to as RAS-activated plants. Immunomodulated plants can be provided in at least three different ways: by applying them to the chemical RAS inducer, such as BTH, INA, or SA; through a selective cultivation program based on the constitutive expression of RAS genes and / or a disease resistant phenotype; or by transforming plants with one or more RAS genes as a functional form of the gene in NIM1. By concurrent application of a microbicide to an immunomodulated plant, disease resistance is unexpectedly enhanced synergistically; that is, the level of disease resistance is greater than the expected additive disease resistance levels.
