Abstract
Se trata de un método para determinar una característica de un material seleccionado entre formación rocosa y cemento, material que rodea un agujero deperforación que contiene un fluído. El método comprende posicionar un sensor acústico enuna posición seleccionada en el agujero de perforación, siendo elsensor acústico adecuado para proveer senales que representan emisión acústica desde dicho material, aplicar una presión seleccionada al fluído induciendo conello tensiones mecánicasen d icho material, induciendo dichas tensiones una emisión acústica desde dicho material. El sensor es inducido a detectar la emisiónacustica y proveer una senal que representa la emisión acústica. La característica es determinada apartir de dicha senal y de la presión aplicadaal fluído.
