Abstract

En particular, se haA wide variety of detersive sufactants are known in the literature and in commercial practice. These perform a dual function within the detergent matrix. First, the molecules of the surfactant reduce the interfacial tension between the dirty and aqueous phase, thereby gradually removing surface stain by a lifting, emulsifying, or solubilizing mechanism. Anionic surfactants are particularly suitable for this function. Second, the surfactant molecules keep dirt in suspension and prevent re-sedimentation at the surface. Traditionally ethoxylated nonionic and anionic surfactants serve this purpose. Accordingly, even though amylase is known to act on starch-type stains, a substantial technical challenge still remains in formulating detergent compositions comprising amylase and surfactants in ways that satisfy the consumer's need for superior soil-cleaning performance and in particular , in starch type dirt. Therefore, it is a purpose of the present invention to provide detergent compositions that include a cleaning agent for washing fabrics, dishwashing, and hard surfaces, containing increased stability oxidative amylases and surfactants in order to satisfy the aforementioned need. It is another purpose to formulate fabric washing detergent compositions that provide effective and efficient cleaning of fabric surfaces, particularly on stained stains. It has now surprisingly been found that optimized applications of increased oxidative stability amylase in detergent compositions are obtained when combined with a surfactant system with a specific ratio of anionic to nonionic surfactants. In particular,
