Novedosos 2H-3,4-dihidrotiopiranos de la fórmula general (I), y las sales de los mismos, en donde R = hidrógeno, C1-C8 alquilo, C3-C8 alquenilo, oC3-C8 alquinilo, n es 0, 1 ó 2, son valiosos microbicidas. Pueden ser usados en la protección dela planta, en forma de composiciones apropiadas,típicamente para el control de enfermedades fungales.
