Abstract

Monitoring apparatus comprising two user communications devices (2, 3), at least one of which is capable of communication over a radio cellular network, one device is a client device (3) and another device is a server device (2), and the devices configured to communicate, over a local area network communication link (20), a data flow of audio and/or visual information sensed by the server device to the client device, and the devices configured to establish the communication link by way of a predetermined connection procedure.
