Abstract

PURPOSE: A device and a method for protecting digital contents are provided to prevent the digital contents from being illegally used/modified/flown out by previously deciding lawfulness for all kinds of work instructions intercepted by a work monitor, and reversely trace a work process by storing/managing work history information for all kinds of work instructions. CONSTITUTION: The work monitor(110) intercepts the work instruction inputted from an application program while monitoring the work instruction input installed between the application and an application programming interface. A security setting manager(130) sets security information for the digital contents in case of the work instruction to generate the new digital contents. A work manager(140) performs the work instruction based on the security information for the objective digital contents in the case of all kinds of work instructions except the work information to generate the new digital contents. A log data manager(160) generates/manages the log data in a log data database(150) by receiving the information for the work instruction input and a processing result from the work manager.
