Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve separation and selection capacity of nonmagnetic metals from waste by constituting a selector installing two units or two sets of linear motors in parallel in each stage and making moving magnetic field to act to the outside. CONSTITUTION:Linear motors 4d-4f are installed in proximity to linear motors 4a-4f, and each set of linears are so arranged that the direction of moving magnetic field becomes symmetric outward about the central axis. In this case, the moving magnetic fields of motors 4a-4c are set in the direction of the arrow B1, and those of motors 4d-4f are set in the direction of the B2.
