Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve drop-out resistance characteristics with a simple constitution by adding second check data in the distant positions on the time axis to the PCM signals having been added with check data of modulo two and recording, reproducing thereby.
CONSTITUTION: The check data according to modulo two operations by a first check code circuit 5 are added to the respective bits of the stereo left and right audio signals, etc. having been converted to PCM signals by A/D converters 4L, 4R and are written in a memory 7 via memory interrupt circuit 6. According to the data having been read out from this memory 7, a second check code generating circuit 8 applies check data such as CRC, etc. in the final position of the distant data blocks on the time axis and recording and reproducing are accomplished with a VTR 20 or the like. Hence, recording and reproducing of good drop-out characteristics by the redundancy of two kinds of the check data having been arrayed in the distant positions on the time axis may be accomplished.
