Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a robot control system, and in particular, using a portable information terminal such as a smartphone as one configuration for robot control, it is possible to control operation and travel from a remote place away from the robot. The present invention relates to a robot control system.
Conventionally, multifunctional portable information terminals (smartphones) having various functions such as voice call function (telephone function), e-mail transmission / reception, Internet connection, video / audio playback, etc. have been developed. In particular, it is spreading. In addition to the functions built in advance by the manufacturer at the time of shipment, the smartphone can install various application software, etc. that are disclosed on the web for free or free of charge, and can further enhance the functions of the smartphone by the user himself / herself Has customizability. Furthermore, the smartphone has a connector for connecting to an external device (for example, a personal computer), performs processing such as synchronization of various data with the external device, or is connected via the smartphone. It has a function that can be operated, and has an excellent affinity for connection with an external device.
On the other hand, robots having a biped walking type robot and a crawler type traveling mechanism similar to those of human beings have been developed due to recent advances in robot technology. In addition, it has a pair of traveling wheels arranged in parallel to each other, detects a load applied to the chassis connected to the traveling wheels and a movement of the center of gravity, and adopts an inverted two-wheel mechanism system that enables traveling in an arbitrary direction Various moving devices employing a moving body and the inverted two-wheel mechanism have been developed. And new vehicles (moving bodies) that adopt the inverted two-wheel mechanism are used as patrol equipment for security at large facilities such as airports and large shopping centers, or when guiding sightseeing spots over a large area It has become familiar to our daily lives, such as being used as a guided tour equipment.
In addition, in the case of an inverted two-wheel mechanism, it travels in an upright state (inverted horizontal state) while balancing with a pair of traveling wheels, and has high stability at the time of traveling and stopping, and further excellent in turning performance. Even on rough roads with narrow irregularities, narrow roads, etc., it has a performance that enables stable running with a small turn and has characteristics superior to other traveling mechanisms in terms of practicality and convenience. .
On the other hand, in recent years, robot technology that has been mainly used in facilities such as factories as so-called “industrial robots” has been applied to robots for general households and small business establishments. Developments have been made on household cleaning robots that suck and move indoors autonomously, and nursing support robots that assist nurses in nursing care facilities such as hospitals and elderly care facilities. Furthermore, communication and entertainment robots that have artificial intelligence and are used as substitutes for pets have been developed. That is, in every scene of daily life, robots using advanced robot technology can be incorporated. On the other hand, due to the recent aging society, the opportunity for elderly people to go outdoors for shopping is limited, and the above robot technology is used to perform outdoor work (shopping, etc.) for humans. Applications in new fields such as “robots” are also expected.
However, many of the above-described robot technologies may have limited operability and applications, and most of them have been developed especially assuming the use of robots indoors. For this reason, there has been almost no application of robot technology such as “Otsuka Robot” in which requirements are based on instructions while the robot runs outdoors.
In addition, when remotely controlling the robot, it is necessary to connect the operation terminal and the robot to be controlled with a wireless communication line. In this case, a wireless communication line having a specific frequency band is used, and the cost required for the wireless communication device for this purpose may be great. Furthermore, the output of wireless communication using these frequencies may be limited, and the range that the wireless reaches may be narrow. For this reason, the robot is sometimes limited to remote control within a specific facility (hospital etc.). On the other hand, attempts have been made to remotely control a robot using an existing mobile phone line (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
Further, when assuming outdoor use, it becomes a problem whether the vehicle can be used at stability (running stability) when traveling on rough roads with severe irregularities or at a practical travel speed. That is, in the case of the above-described biped walking type robot or crawler traveling mechanism, the moving speed may be slower than the human walking speed, and when such a robot is used, there is a possibility that the practicality is poor. On the other hand, a practically used mobile body that uses an inverted two-wheel mechanism and is already used for security activities has a driving performance of about 6 km / h for a normal driving speed and about 12 km / h for a maximum driving speed. In some cases, the problem of practicality in terms of travel speed is cleared.
Therefore, in view of the above situation, the present invention receives control information related to robot control using a portable information terminal such as a smartphone in remote control of a robot capable of self-propelled outdoors, and has running stability and practical use. An object of the present invention is to provide a robot control system capable of controlling a robot having a traveling mechanism unit that employs an inverted two-wheel mechanism system that is excellent in performance.
In order to solve the above-described problems, the robot control system of the present invention is configured to control a robot, a portable information terminal having a camera function and a microphone function, and capable of bidirectional communication by connecting to a wireless communication line. A remote control terminal that sends control information to the portable information terminal through the wireless communication line, and the robot has a lens section of the camera function that can acquire an image in front of the robot as video information. A robot body having a terminal mounting portion for mounting and supporting the portable information terminal in a state in which the robot is in a traveling direction, and installed below the robot body so that the robot can run on the basis of the control information. It is electrically connected to the travel mechanism unit via the portable information terminal and the terminal connector unit, and sent from the remote control terminal through the portable information terminal. A robot control unit that receives the control information and performs operation control of the robot body and travel control of the travel mechanism unit, and the portable information terminal receives the control signal sent from the remote control terminal Control information output means for outputting to the robot control unit; the video information acquired by the camera function; audio information of the surroundings of the robot acquired by the microphone function; and the operating state of the robot and the running It is mainly comprised from what comprises the information transmission means which each transmits the status information containing the driving | running state of a mechanism part to the said remote control terminal through the said radio | wireless communication line.
Here, the robot is remotely controlled through a remote control terminal, and has a traveling mechanism unit capable of traveling indoors and outdoors. Here, an example of the traveling mechanism unit is, for example, an inverted two-wheel mechanism that can freely travel in a state in which a balance is maintained by a pair of traveling wheels (an inverted horizontal state), or a general traveling mechanism. A well-known traveling mechanism such as a four-wheel traveling mechanism, a bipedal walking type, or a crawler type can be appropriately employed.
On the other hand, the portable information terminal can exemplify the above-described multifunctional mobile phone (smart phone) or the like, and can use an existing device that is detachable from the robot body of the robot. Here, the attachment to the robot body is a wired type connected via a terminal connector portion or a wireless connection such as Bluetooth (registered trademark), and the lens portion of the camera function of the portable information terminal. Is directed toward the direction of robot movement (forward direction of the robot), and the situation around the robot (mainly forward) is captured as video information. Thereby, the operator of the remote control terminal can grasp the surrounding situation even at a position away from the robot. The remote control terminal is capable of two-way communication of various information with a portable information terminal through a wireless communication line, and uses an existing information communication device such as a personal computer, a mobile phone, a smartphone, or a PDA. Can do. The wireless communication line can be assumed to be, for example, a general 3G line or a known wireless communication system.
Therefore, according to the robot control system of the present invention, the control information is sent to the robot control unit inside the robot via a portable information terminal such as a smartphone attached to the robot, and the robot operation and the like based on the control information. Control is performed. Thus, by adopting an existing smartphone or the like as a function of controlling the robot, it is possible to significantly reduce the cost related to the construction of the control system. Furthermore, since the wireless communication line uses an existing 3G line or the like, no new investment is required for the wireless communication facility. Therefore, robot control from a remote place can be easily established. Furthermore, the traveling mechanism unit can be controlled based on the control information transmitted and received by the portable information terminal, and the robot can be self-propelled by remote control. As a result, it can be used outdoors. As a result, the robot can be used as a use robot. Furthermore, by using the camera function, microphone function, etc. built in the portable information terminal, the situation around the robot can be conveyed to the place where the remote control terminal is operated by video or voice, etc. It is also possible to communicate with the people around the robot from the operation location by voice using the speaker function of the terminal. As a result, it is possible to fully exhibit the role as a moist robot. Note that the robot body may be formed in a hollow shape so that a vacant space can be loaded. Moreover, you may output as a status information the signal of the various sensors installed in the robot main body and the traveling mechanism part with the signal of the said camera, microphone, etc.
Further, the robot control system according to the present invention includes, in addition to the above configuration, “the travel mechanism section is spanned between a pair of the travel wheels and the travel wheels, and the robot body is mounted on the top. A pair of wheel motors for independently driving the traveling wheels, a drive battery installed in the chassis and for providing a driving force for driving the wheel motors, Inverted two-wheels comprising a center-of-gravity changing mechanism that changes the position of the center of gravity of the robot, a tilt angle sensor that measures the tilt angle in the front-rear direction of the chassis, and a sensor unit that includes an acceleration sensor that measures the acceleration of the travel mechanism A mechanism is employed, and the robot controller is configured to calculate a center-of-gravity position calculating unit that calculates a center-of-gravity position of the robot based on the measurement of the tilt angle sensor and the acceleration sensor. And on the basis of the gravity center position and the center of gravity variation mechanism unit, it may be one which comprises the center of gravity position control means for changing the position of the center of gravity of the robot "further.
Here, the center-of-gravity changing mechanism unit uses, for example, a driving battery or other heavy object having a high weight ratio in the robot of the present invention as a weight for changing the center-of-gravity position, and a pair of rails on the upper surface of the chassis unit Are arranged, and the drive battery is slid on the rail, or the center of gravity of the travel mechanism is changed by changing the connection position between the pair of travel wheels and the chassis part back and forth. . In addition, in order to slide weights, such as a drive battery, the structure of a motor for weight sliding (for battery sliding) etc. is further required.
Therefore, according to the robot control system of the present invention, the travel mechanism unit is provided with the center-of-gravity position changing mechanism that changes the position of the center of gravity of the robot. When the robot of the present invention is used as a “useful robot”, when a baggage after shopping is loaded in the above-described baggage loading space, the balance of the entire robot changes significantly compared to before loading. Here, since the present invention employs an inverted two-wheel mechanism as the traveling mechanism portion, such a deviation in balance greatly affects the subsequent traveling stability. Therefore, the center-of-gravity position changing mechanism is used to change the center-of-gravity position in the front-rear direction of the robot and change the position to balance with the loaded load. As a result, the center of gravity of the robot comes to substantially the same position as before mounting. As a result, it is possible to perform the traveling control in the state of the same center of gravity as before the loading even when traveling after loading. Note that the change in the center of gravity position due to the loading of the load can be calculated based on an acceleration sensor and an inclination angle sensor installed in the traveling mechanism unit.
Further, the robot control system according to the present invention may include, in addition to the above configuration, “the robot control unit is configured to control the center-of-gravity position when the robot transitions from an inverted horizontal state in which the robot is upright by a pair of traveling wheels to a traveling state. To control the center-of-gravity changing mechanism and to tilt the robot forward, and to control the traveling mechanism with the robot tilted forward to start traveling in the traveling direction. And a forward-inclined travel control means ”.
Therefore, according to the robot control system of the present invention, when the inverted two-wheel mechanism displaces the robot from an upright and stopped state to a traveling state, the center of gravity position is changed using the battery sliding mechanism, and the robot The vehicle is started to travel after being displaced to the forward tilt posture. That is, it is possible to travel forward without retreating from the position where it has been stopped upright.
In the case of a moving body that adopts a general inverted two-wheel mechanism, when the traveling wheel of the traveling mechanism section is suddenly rotated in an attempt to advance in the traveling direction, the upper part of the traveling mechanism section will remain in the position due to the law of inertia. Therefore, only the traveling mechanism part moves forward, and the upper part thereof (in the case of the present invention, the robot main body part) is warped backward, that is, a backward tilted posture, and the balance during traveling may be lost. In order to avoid such a situation, in general, control is performed in which the traveling wheel is rotated backward in advance after being slightly moved backward in the direction opposite to the traveling direction and displaced in a forward tilt posture. Therefore, when starting traveling, a space for temporarily moving backward is required. On the other hand, in the case of the present invention, it is not necessary to retreat from the position where the upright stop is performed, and it is possible to start traveling from the position after being displaced to the forward tilt posture.
Further, the robot control system according to the present invention may include, in addition to the above-described configuration, “an angle at which the terminal mounting unit displaces a mounting angle of the mounted portable information terminal and changes a shooting range of the lens unit of the camera function. You may comprise a "displacement mechanism part."
Therefore, according to the robot control system of the present invention, the terminal mounting portion of the robot body has a mechanism for displacing the mounting angle of the portable information terminal. As a result, when a video in front of the robot is sent to the remote control terminal using the camera function of the portable information terminal, a wide range in front of the robot can be grasped as video information by the displacement of the mounting angle. Note that the displacement of the mounting angle can be displaced from the remote control terminal to an arbitrary position.
Further, the robot control system according to the present invention includes, in addition to the above configuration, “the traveling mechanism unit is provided behind the pair of traveling wheels, and assists the robot upright by three-point support; And an auxiliary wheel raising / lowering mechanism for raising and lowering the wheel ”.
Therefore, according to the robot control system of the present invention, the traveling mechanism unit is provided with the auxiliary wheel that can be raised and lowered. As a result, when the control of the robot is turned off, the auxiliary wheel can be lowered and the robot can be supported in a three-point support state by three points of the pair of traveling wheels and the auxiliary wheel, and the inverted horizontal state can be maintained. It becomes. On the other hand, when the robot is traveling, the auxiliary wheel can be moved to the upper position so as not to interfere with the traveling.
As an effect of the present invention, by using a multifunctional portable information terminal such as a smartphone as a configuration of a remotely controllable robot, a robot remote control system through a wireless communication line can be easily realized and development costs can be reduced. Can be constructed. Furthermore, when an inverted two-wheel mechanism is employed as the traveling mechanism, the robot can self-propelled while maintaining high turning performance and traveling stability even on narrow roads and rough roads. Furthermore, by sliding the drive battery and changing the position of the center of gravity, it is possible to ensure running stability even when heavy objects are mounted, and to control from the inverted horizontal state to the running state. This can be done without the need for retreat space.
Hereinafter, a robot control system 1 (hereinafter simply referred to as “
As shown in FIGS. 1 to 8, the
More specifically, as shown in FIG. 2 and the like, the
At the front part of the
Further, the
Further, the
As shown in FIGS. 2 and 4, the traveling
That is, the
The traveling
Further, as shown in FIG. 4, the
On the other hand, the
Further, the traveling control means 42b of the
On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 1 and the like, the
On the other hand, the
Next, an example of remote control of the
By setting each component of the
Here, the predicted slope value is divided into the following three types. That is, when the slope after t seconds from the present time is + (in step S5 +), when the slope after t seconds from the current time is-(in step S5-), and the slope after the current time and t seconds Are the same (0 in step S5). In this specification, the case where the
Thereafter, the
Thereafter, the
In step S17, when the control information 8 relates to the traveling control of the robot 2 (YES in step S17), the traveling
That is, in the case of the
On the other hand, when the control information 8 relates to the operation of the robot 2 (NO in step S17), the operation control of the
Thereafter, the presence / absence of transmission of control information 8 related to the stop of the remote control operation of the
And the presence or absence of the termination | instruction instruction | indication of the
As described above, according to the
Further, by adopting an inverted two-wheel mechanism as the traveling
