Description
INVENTION DESCRIPTION
Prescription booth is a self service medical consultation and prescription machine for minor and some complex sicknesses through a voice recognition system.
It comprises of a microphone, a speaker, a screen, thermometer, a blood pressure monitor, payment terminal, and power point all mounted in a booth.
The machine goes in series of question and answer with the patient about his/her symptoms using voice through a microphone or text on a touch screen.
When the machine finishes the questioning, a program will detect that it is the end and automatically the name of the medicine matching patient's symptoms is chosen from the database sent to the printer as prescription.
In certain cases, during the consultation the machine may ask patients to measure their blood pressure or body temperature using the thermometer or the blood pressure monitor already installed.
This machine will reduce overcrowding in heath centres and hospitals It will reduce work load for medical staff It will save patients time by avoiding queues It will give convenience at anytime 24 hours seven days.
Suitable places to use this machine are:
Town centres, institutions such as colleges and universities, railway stations, stadiums, shopping centres, health centres and hospitals.

- Claim Prescription Booth Prescription booth means the following components a, microphone, a speaker, a screen, a printer, a thermometer, a blood pressure monitor are installed and connected to a microcontroller in a booth with the purpose of medical consultations and obtaining prescriptions through voice recognition system. The microphone receives medical symptoms in form of voice and sends them to voice the recognition service in the microcontroller. This service converts the audio files to text and the touch screen displays it. Database generates response in audio (voice) matching the user's input through a speaker. A program called response generator will detect the end of consultation and sends a prescription out through the printer for the patient.
