Description

AN AUDIO PLAYBACK SYSTEM WITH CHARGING MECHANISM AND METHOD OF USE
TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present invention relates to an audio play back system with charging mechanism and method of use. More specifically, a wearable audio playback system including an audio play back device and earbuds which are charged when mounted to the audio playback device.
BACKGROUND ART
[0002] Currently, there are many portable music systems available on the market. Such systems come in various shapes and sizes, for example, in the form of media players, mobile telephones, smart watches etc. and typically include a device for playing music coupled with a pair of earbuds or earphones for listening to the music.
[0003] One problem with the portable music systems mentioned above is that they are not suitable to be used in all types of environments, in particular, in environments which may include extreme conditions, such as in the sea or surf while a user is surfing, in the air while a user is hang gliding or sky diving, or in the snow while a user is snow boarding, where earbuds or earphones may be more prone to being dislodged from a user's ears, being broken or deteriorating more rapidly than if used in typical everyday conditions.
[0004] Another problem with the portable music systems mentioned above is that such systems typically include earbuds that directly connected to the device using a cord. Such a cord may get in the way of a user when the user is performing activities or taking part in sporting activates which require movement of the body and/or limbs which may become tangled with the cord.
[0005] Another problem with the portable music systems mentioned above is that such systems require an accessory, for example a USB cable and/or charger, in order to charge wireless earbuds once the internal battery or batteries become depleted. This means that once the media play or earbuds run out of power, the media play and/or earbuds must be connected to a mains power source in order to recharge the battery or batteries in order for the music system to become fully functional once again.
[0006] It will be clearly understood that, if a prior art publication is referred to herein, this reference does not constitute an admission that the publication forms part of the common general knowledge in the art in Australia or in any other country.
SUMMARY OF INVENTION
[0007] The present invention is directed to an audio playback system, which may at least partially overcome at least one of the abovementioned disadvantages or provide the consumer with a useful or commercial choice.
[0008] With the foregoing in view, the present invention in one form, resides broadly in an audio playback system including:
