Abstract

The way of person transportation and facilities for providing this way of transport consist in transporting of persons during the whole transport time in the only transport unit (5, 6, 7) equipped for either road or railway transportation and enabling passengers to leave this transport unit and to relocate to any other part of the train within the rail transport phase. The facility for providing this way of transport is composed of the transport unit (5, 6, 7) equipped for independent movement on roads and furnished for person stay inside the unit (5, 6, 7). The facility for providing this way of transport includes the transport unit (5, 6, 7) that can be converted for day and night regime. The facility for providing this way of transport is composed of the transport unit (5, 6, 7) with its own undercarriage that can be constructed in a detachable or inseparable version. The facility for providing this way of transport is composed of the transport unit (5, 6, 7) adjusted to a closely packed parking.

Technical Fields
The invention concerns a way of person transportation and facilities for providing this way of transport combining individual vehicle and railway transportation.
Background Arts
So far persons have been transported either by a passenger car or by a different mean of transport using roadways. Another way of transportation used railways, for example, persons can be transported in differently equipped railway carriages for a certain distance. In this way it was necessary to transport persons to the station where they could get in the train and travel to the nearest station regarding their stay. There they had to use another mean of transport for their next travel. Loading and transferring of luggage from one mean of transport to another did not meet the required comfort and satisfaction of transported people. Apart from that, this way of transport was demanding financially especially when a rented vehicle was used for a further travel.
There is the patent US 2211496 Al known from the state of the art patent literature dealing with the railway transportation of automobiles that get into a railway car lengthwise in a train forward direction. Persons get out of the automobiles and go one floor above using stairs where they stay during the ride. This way of passenger car transportation is spatially demanding and is not able to transport large quantity of cars at the same time.
Another way of transport is discussed by the US201360671 patent. In this patent the automobile driver drives into a railway car crosswise and has almost no ability to get out of the car and go to a different part of the train. Moreover, the width of the railway car must be adapted to the length of automobiles, which is difficult because it results in an inadmissible railway car width or in a short automobile transport only.
The document DE2744405A1 also deals with a way for railway transportation of buses where the undercarriage of the bus is substituted by an undercarriage with wheels suitable for motion along the rail tracks and integrates the bus into the train unit. It is not possible to get out of the bus during the ride. The document DE102012023818A1 deals with the adjustment of the seats in the passenger caravan as well. Therefore the inventor had to develop a way of transport, which guarantees a transportation comfort and minimize any luggage relocation. It was also necessary to lower the time consumption during a transport cycle and optimized transportation expenses.
Disclosure of Invention
Mentioned difficulties are eliminated by this invented way of person transport and facilities for providing this way of transport based in a fact that during the complete transportation time transported persons are in the only transportation unit designed for both road and railway transportation. Transported persons can leave this unit during the railway phase transportation and go to any other part of the train. The transportation unit is loaded on the transport platform and is going to remain there up to the terminal station arrival. After that it can be either relocated to a different train transport platform or it can continue traveling independently using roads.
Facilities for providing this way of transport are composed of a transport unit which is equipped with parts enabling an independent motion on the roads and with devices for a person stay inside the unit. The transport unit inside can be converted into a day or night mode and is connected to a rail car electric source. The transport unit is fixed mechanically to the transport platform and has its own detachable undercarriage which can be an inseparable part of the transport unit or it can be constructed as a separate part.
This invented way of person transport has many advantages. Above all it is the multi- functionality of the transport unit that is used as a motion-independent separate living space and in the combination with a railway transport it does not exploit the roadway network or environment by exhaust gases. Another significant socio-economic advantage is the ability of the passengers including the driver to relax or to be occupied with any chosen activities within the transportation unit or outside of that or to communicate with other transport units and meet eventually other persons within the train which results in a significant increase of the life quality. The transport unit is loaded and reloaded by a loading mechanism and is dispatched from a loading location to a terminal location by a railway information system operated by a railway contractor. Brief Description of Drawings
The invention is to be further clarified by a drawing where the picture 1 phase A shows the loading system of transport units to the rail car transport platform, phase B shows the loading of transport units to the rail car transport platform and the offloading transport units from the rail car transport platform. The picture 2 presents the loading of transport units to a loading platform, picture 3 presents a small transport unit and picture 4 shows the transport unit located on the railway car transport platform in the section view.
Examples for Carrying out the Invention
The way of person transport is carried out by placing all the needed things for the travel into a parked transport unit 5, 6, 7. The transport unit 5, 6, 7 is homologated as a passenger car vehicle for movement on roadways of all classes, highways included if a highway homologation is necessary. Persons get in, fasten their seatbelts and after that a qualified person moves the transport unit 5, 6, 7 to a station where a special loading platform 3 is prepared for the first transport platform. Afterwards the transport unit 5, 6, 7 is moved into a precise position on the loading platform 3 and from here it is relocated to the first rail car transport platform I where it is attached.
A transport to the loading platform 3 and then to the first rail car platform 1 is carried out by the loading mechanism 8 (e.g. a transport fork) or by retracting wheels placed in the transport unit undercarriage 5, 6, 7 enabling the unit 5, 6, 7 movement orthogonally to its wheels movement. Another possibility is a direct entry of the transport unit 5, 6, 7 to the loading platform 3 and its precise positioning to a desired place on the loading platform 3 in a way enabling its loading to a defined place on the first rail car transport platform 1 after stopping the train. The loading platform 3 and 4 are able to synchronize their location according to the position of the stopped transport platform 1 and 2 and the rail car. One by one or all transport units 5, 6, 7 together are loaded and the train is ready to leave. The transport unit 5, 6, 7 can be also constructed in a version with a detachable undercarriage that can be transported separately. The transport unit 5, 6, 7 is homologated for a railway vehicles usage. The transport unit 5, 6, 7 can, but does not have to, be a part of the outer wall of the rail car transform platform1 or 2. A place for the transport unit 5, 6, 7 on the rail car transform platform1 and rail car 2 is ordered in advance or it can be bought on-the-spot facing the necessity to wait in a designed space for a free place on the rail car transform platform I and 2. After coming the rail car transform platform 1 and 2_to the terminal station the transport unit 5, 6, 7 is pulled up to the loading platform 3 and 4 where it can be matched with an undercarriage alternatively and thereafter it comes out of the loading platform 3 and 4 to the ground and by this it is ready to move independently along the roads. Passengers of the transport unit 5, 6, 7 can move through the train as other train passengers during the travel. This is enabled by a sliding door 14 adapted for boarding and exiting the transport unit 5, 6, 7 to the transport platform1 and 2, or out of the platform l_and 2.
It is possible to communicate among transport units 5, 6, 7 if it is enabled by the rail car transport platform l_and 2 and by the equipment of the transport unit 5, 6, 7. The transport unit can be realized in many versions: from a small simple transport unit 5 enabling a person transport only up to the type of the transport unit 6 and 7 equipped for independent home functioning. It can include a cold and hot water source, toilette, shower enclosure, kitchen equipment, energy source for cooking, place for sleeping and storage. The inner part of the transport unit 6, 7_can be constructed in the way that it is possible to change the space inside, e.g. the seats to beds. This can be realized by extending the seat 17 or retracting the bed 1_8 out of the unit wall.
The transport unit 5, 6, 7 provides a chance to rest during the rail transport phase in this way. The outer dimension of the transport unit 5, 6, 7 is unified for effective combining with other transport units 5, 6, 7 and for easy fitting to the rail car transform platform1 and 2. The example of the unification is: Small transport unit 5^ Middle transport unit 6 which is 1.5 multiple of the Small transport unit 5 length and Large transport unit 7 which is twice as much long as the small transport unit 5, but, in basic, any multiple of the Small transport unit length is possible. After reaching its destination point the transport unit 5, 6, 7 is checked only and, if necessary, the consumed supplies and material can be replenished.
The transport unit 5, 6, 7 passengers can be independent on searching for an accommodation and possible food providing. After the transport finishing in the destination point the transport unit 5, 6, 7 returns to the station and all is repeated as leaving home. The transport unit 5, 6, 7 can be parked as an automobile. In the case of the mobile home type unit, e.g. within Large transport unit 7, it is just more space demanding. The transport unit 5, 6, 7 is fitted for closely packed parking providing higher efficiency of parking in streets, conventional car parks or automatic car park houses where the transport unit 5, 6, 7 can be enrolled in the car park automatic system in the same way as during loading on the loading platform 3 and 4. During the person transport the same regulations are applied as for passengers in automobiles.
Industrial Applicability
The way of transport according to this invention can be operated by renting, it means that the transport unit does not have to be in the property of a passenger as well as the driver does not have to be among passengers and can be rented together with the transport unit. The invention can be also used for transport of escorted persons who must be transported to places where no railway tracks are available. In the same way it is possible to use this invention for transport of important cargos to places where no railway tracks are available.

1. The way of person transportation and facilities for providing this way of transport characterized by the fact that during the whole transport time transported persons are in the only transport unit (5, 6, 7) designated for either road or railway transport and can leave this transport unit (5, 6, 7) within the rail transport phase and relocate to any other part of the train, and the fact that the transport unit (5, 6, 7) is loaded up by a loading mechanism (8) on the transport platform (1, 2) on which it remains up to the terminal station where it is either relocated to another transport platform (1, 2) of a different train or continues traveling independently using roads.
2. Facilities for providing this way of transport, according to the Patent Claim 1, characterized by the composition of the transport unit (5, 6, 7) which is equipped with parts for independent movement on the roads and is furnished with equipment for person stay inside the transport unit (5, 6, 7) and by the fact that this transport unit (5, 6, 7) is connected to electric power source of the rail car and is attached mechanically to the transport platform (1, 2).
3. Facilities for providing this way of transport, according to the Patent Claim 2, characterized by the fact that the transport unit (5, 6, 7) has its own undercarriage that can be designed as an inseparable part of the transport unit or can be constructed in a detachable version.
