Abstract
Boarding and disembarkation module system for airliner passengers, constituted by a system and methods that simplify and facilitate the operations of passenger boarding and disembarkation, and the loading and unloading of baggage and cargo on airliners, enhances security and reduces costs. It is composed basically of a module-carrier aircraft (1), a passenger module (2) and a module-carrier terminal (3), formed by a boarding lounge (7), a disembarkation lounge (8) and a module-transfer area (9). The boarding method consists substantially of the following: each passenger (5) checks in in the actual boarding lounge (7), stows his luggage (4) in the bottom of the module, under his seat (6), and boards the module (2). After boarding is complete, the module (2) is transferred from the boarding lounge (7) to the module-transfer area (9) and is then transferred to the aircraft (1), through the opening (11). The method for rapid boarding and disembarkation of passengers and the rapid loading and unloading of baggage and cargo on aircraft consists in removing a module (2) from the aircraft (1) arriving after a flight, and then putting a second module (2) in position for the next flight.
