Abstract

The present invention relates to an improvement in our rhamnolipid cosmetic application. More specifically, it relates to higher Rhamnolipid purities, different formulations, different application rates, and more effective carriers. Our research shows that with a highly purified rhamnolipid (no byproducts after production and no traces of pseudomonas producer strain) with additional complementary mixtures and carriers, the usage rate for rhamnolipid is very low and accordingly, less expensive.

Description

High Purity Rhamnolipid Cosmetic Application

This application cross references to related provisional application 61/694,908. This application claims the benefit of my earlier application 61/694,908 filed August

30, 2012.

Field Of The Invention

The present invention relates to an improvement in our rhamnolipid cosmetic application. More specifically, it relates to higher Rhamnolipid purities, different formulations, different application rates, and more effective carriers.

Our research shows that with a highly purified rhamnolipid (no byproducts after production and no traces of pseudomonas producer strain) with additional complementary mixtures and carriers, the usage rate for rhamnolipid is very low and accordingly, less expensive. Rhamnolipid Production. Preparation of high purity rhamnolipid preparations and lesser purity rhamnolipid formulations (partially purified /crude rhamnolipid) may be prepared by methods that are well-known to those of skill in the art

Typically, the bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa, or other suitable bacteria is cultured in a suitable medium and grown to a desired density. The bacteria themselves are removed from the culture media by well-known means (e.g.

centrifugation). The supernatant may be used directly as the crude preparation, or further processing steps, that are well known to those of skill in the art, may be carried out (e.g. concentration, filtration, column chromatography, and the like). Notably, however, the final rhamnolipid preparation is highly purified to a purity of 90% or better of either a di-rhamnolipid, mono- rhamnolipid or a combination of both and typically contains a mixture of both mono-rhamnolipids and di- rhamnoliplds. Those of skill in the art will recognize that the precise details of cultivation and partial purification may vary somewhat but still be within the scope of the invention.

New Invention. Our current research shows that using a higher than 90% purity rhamnolipid works better than prior claims and can be further diluted without the typical byproducts of the fermentation process therefore causing negative affects. For instance, when a purity of 78.67% was used: three instances occurred

1) the burning sensation was greater on the skin and scalp and.

2) the usage rate had to be increased and,

3) the amount of time had to be Increased from 3 to 8 weeks when using

78.67% or less purity of rhamnolipid in order to have a positive effect on the skin.

We have also found that when mixing hyaluronic acid with Rhamnolipid it can supercharge the effect on wrinkles by producing more collagen than just

Rhamnolipid alone. When hyaluronic acid was used without Rhamnolipid, the result produced much less collagen in the skin. When an anti-inflammatory was Introduced into the composition of Rhamnolipid and hyaluronic acid, collagen rate increased by 4 times.

Claims

Claim 1. Applying a composition of high purity Rhamnolipld of at least 90% to the skin of humans to treat wrinkles.

Claim 2. Applying a composition of a high purity Rhamnolipid of at least 90% of either di-rhamnolipld, mono-rhamnolipld or a combination of both to the akin of humans to treat wrinkles.

Claim 3. A composition with either Claim 1 or Claim 2 with one of the following Carriers listed below In Exhibit A:

Claim 4. A composition with either Claim 1 or Claim 2 with one or more of the following Carriers listed in Exhibit A.

Claim 5. A composition of high purity Rhamnolipid of at least 90% pure and hyaluronic acid to treat wrinkles on the human skin.

Claim 6. A composition of Claim 5 where It is composed of one carrier listed in Exhibit A

Claim 7. A composition of Claim 5 where it is composed of one or more carriers listed in Exhibit A.

Claim 8. A composition as in Claim 1 wherein one carrier listed in Exhibit A is mixed with water to form an emulsifier.

Claim 9. A formulation as in Claim 2 wherein one carrier listed In Exhibit A is mixed with water to form an emulsifier.

Claim 10. A formulation as in Claim 1 wherein more than one carrier listed in Exhibit A is mixed with water to form an emulsifier.

Claim 11. A formulation as in Claim 2 wherein more than one carrier listed in Exhibit A is mixed with water to form an emulsifier.

Claim 12. A formulation In Claim 5 wherein one anti-inflammatory listed in Exhibit B is mixed in the composition.

Claim 13. A formulation in Claim 7 wherein one anti-inflammatory listed from Exhibit B is mixed in the formulation.

Claim 14. A formulation in Claim 1 wherein one anti-inflammatory listed from Exhibit B is introduced into the composition.

Claim 15. A formulation in Claim 2 wherein one anti-inflammatory listed Exhibit B is introduced into the composition.

Claim 16. A method of including Rhamnolipid with Chlorine to treat pools and limit the amount of chlorine used.

Claim 17. A method of spraying soil at the base of plants whereas the roots of the plants absorb the rhamnolipid to deter agricultural pests from destroying the plants.

Claim 18. Applying a composition of high purity Rhamnolipid of at least 90% to the skin of animals to treat skin disorders with one of the following

Claim 19. Applying a composition of a high purity Rhamnolipid of at least 90% of either di-rhamnolipld, mono-rhamnolipid or a combination of both to the skin of animals for skin disorders with one of the following Carriers listed In Exhibit A.
