MULTIMEDIA FILE
TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present disclosure generally relates to playback of multimedia files, and more particularly, to a device and a method for resuming playback of a multimedia file.
BACKGROUND
[0002] Nowadays, more and more people have multiple electronic devices such as a mobile phone, a vehicle head unit, and a computer etc. Usually, a user needs to switch from a current electronic device to another frequently. In a conventional solution, if the user wants to resume on a second electronic device playback of a song from where playback of the song by a first electronic device was paused, the user has to remember or find out the position where it was paused, and manually controls the second electronic device to resume playback of the song from the position. This is inconvenient. In view of the above, there is a need to provide a device and a method for resuming playback of a multimedia file.
SUMMARY
[0003] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, an electronic device for resuming playback of a multimedia file is provided. The electronic device includes: a communication device, adapted for communicating with other electronic devices through a network; and a processing device, configured to generate according to a user instruction information of where playback of a multimedia file to be resumed from during playback of the multimedia file by the electronic device; and control the communication device to send the information to a second electronic device capable of resuming playback of the multimedia file using the information through the network.
[0004] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, an electronic device for resuming playback of a multimedia file is provided. The electronic device includes: a communication device, adapted for communicating with other electronic devices through a network; and a processing device, configured to control the electronic device to resume playback of the multimedia file using information of where playback of the multimedia file to be resumed from, after the communication device receives the information from a first electronic device through the network.
