Description

TITLE- Automatic handling and transferring system for various powdery materials.
FIELD OF INVENTION
The disclosure made herein relates to automatically fully operated, controlled transferring and handling system of various powder material like flour for long distance, with the minimum loses of flour spillage, dust free environment and a hygienic system which is very easy to clean and maintain. An automatic logic controlled transferring and handling system is much more fast, reliable and independent. It saves manpower and makes it a easy to use an industrial applicable invention.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Traditionally according to requirement at a same time it's imperative to take two or more then two flour and other powder material supplies with accurate weigh and pneumatically transfer to long distances and heights. To maintain a uniform and high accuracy for transfer and handling to the flour and other powdery material, an automatic logic controlled transferring and handling system can however is much more fast, reliable and independent.
The present novel invention, Powder Handling System is used for various powdery materials like Flour, Dietary Fiber, Pulverized Sugar, Salomina etc. The system can transfer granules like Wheat, Rice, Sugar, and Corn. The invented system can be tailored to take two or more different material, weigh and then pneumatically transfer to long distances and heights also.
There have been a variety of different types of system used for handling and transferring to flour or powder material. For example, reference may be made to the following are- According to US 2009/0117533 Al (patent application)/WO 2006/120660 Al (patent application) Wherein A system for producing a dough starter culture is provided which comprises a plurality of reservoirs pre-loaded with a small amount ("mother level") of a previously obtained starter culture. Into the reservoirs are inoculated the other ingredients required for the preparation of starter culture and the contents are left to ferment for a specified period of time to produce the required starter culture, which is then discharged as required from each reservoir . A "mother level" portion is retained in the reservoirs and is used to produce a next batch of starter culture. The system operates automatically and is programmable so that a first pre-set interval of time which is less then the fermentation time is allowed to elapse from the start of fermentation in a first reservoir before the ingredients are delivered into a succeeding reservoir , and a second pre-set interval of time is allowed to elapse after the starter culture is discharged from the first reservoir before a next batch of the ingredients is delivered into the first reservoir

Figure 1 - P & I Diagram of flour or powdery material handling system.
Flour or powdery materials are drawn from silo directly or from bags (using a pneumatic bag tilter). Flour or powdery material passes through a magnetic grill and then through gyro screen sifter into pneumatic pressure pump mounted on load cell. From pneumatic pump flour is transferred completely using dense phase transfer technology, into hoppers mounted on top of mixers. Flour or powdery material Handling System and Dosing System cater to multiple mixers operating in different recipes.
Accurate dosing records are maintained mixer wise, batch wise and product wise. Flour or powdery material handling system right from Flour receipt in tankers or bags, flour or powdery material sieving, metal detecting and storing flour or powdery material in silos through pneumatic transfer and even flour blending can be supplied along pneumatic weighing and transfer system.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
It's very critical and important to weigh and then pneumatically transfer flour and powdery material in appropriate quantity in any of the food processing or chemical industry operations. In case of manual transferring and handling of flour and powdery material it becomes extremely difficult to maintain the consistency of the product. In appropriate weigh and transfer to long distances and heights also. The system uses Bag Tilters. Flour Bags are emptied into a magnetic hopper with horizontal and vertical screw conveyors. If customer is using silo, then flour is drawn from silo directly. Flour is then passed into a fully closed vibratory sieve. The sieve discharges flour into another hopper with horizontal and vertical screw conveyors. Flour is conveyed into a pressure vessel mounted with vibrator and load cell. Flour intake into the pressure vessel is monitored by the PLC controller. Thus pressure vessel is filled with pre-set quantity of Flour. When the any of the process center needs flour, a demand request is made to PLC controller. PLC Controller starts the blowers and pressurizes the flour loaded pressure vessel to convey the Flour pneumatically into the cyclone separator mounted at the demand center.
A PLC controlled and weighed pneumatic conveying system can supply flour to multiple demand centers over 200 Meters to a height over 20 Meters. A large man power is saved with minimum Flour loss and also generates a dust free environment. Accuracy ± of 500 grams over 300 KG discharge is achieved. The pneumatic conveying of Flour is less than one minute. The systems completely automatic and eliminates human error and even human presence.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION
Accordingly, in one aspect, this invention is based on handling and transferring system which applicable on various powdery material like Flour, Dietary Fiber, Pulverized Sugar, and Salomina thereof. The system can transfer granules like Wheat, Rice, Sugar and Corn thereof. This system can be modified to obtain two or more different material with accurate weigh and afterward pneumatically transfer to long distances and heights.
The entire process needs lots of manpower. There is loss of flour or powder material as well as dusty environment. For these kind of problem can be solved by PLC (programmable logic controller (PLC) or programmable controller) which controlled and weighed pneumatic conveying system can supply flour and various powder materials to multiple demand centers over 200 or variable Meters to a height over 20 or variable Meters without any interruption.
The main components of this system are following
Bag Tilter: The bag tilter consists of pneumatic cylinders and a SS tray on which flour or other material bags are opened and placed. The operator operates a lever which activates the pneumatic cylinders to Lift and tilt the bag. The bag gets empted in to the Pre sieve hopper. Hopper: The hopper consists of a horizontal and a vertical screw conveyor. The flour bags get emptied in to this hopper on the magnetic grill. The grill attracts any ferrous contamination. The flour is then transferred to the gyro sifter with the horizontal and vertical screw conveyor.
Pressure vessel: The horizontal and vertical screw conveyors are controlled by PLC. The Post Sieve hopper will transfer the material to the weighing and transferring vessel or Pressure vessel.
PLC (Programmable logic controller): The PLC controls the complete system. It has various menus like Run Status, manual / auto operation, System Diagnosis, Data Acquisition, Recipe Management, Calibration, Alarm Management.
Basically Customers can purchase Flour in Tankers and the flour is pneumatically emptied into on top of grain storages. In the other hand Customers who have no facility to get flour or powdery material in tankers will receive flour or powdery material in bags. Using Bag tilters, the bags are emptied and pneumatically supplied into grain storages. Some customer prefers flour or other powdery material storage in bags as an alternative of grain storages.
Flour or other material Bags are emptied into a magnetic hopper with horizontal and vertical screw conveyors. If customer is using grain storage, then flour is drawn from grain storage directly. Flour is then passed into a fully closed vibratory sieve. The sieve discharges flour into another hopper with horizontal and vertical screw conveyors.
Flour or other material is conveyed into a pressure vessel mounted with vibrator and load cell. Flour or other material intake into the pressure vessel is monitored by the PLC controller. Thus pressure vessel is filled with pre-set quantity of Flour or other material. When the any of the process center needs flour or other material a demand request is made to PLC controller. PLC Controller starts the blowers and pressurizes the flour or other material loaded pressure vessel to convey the Flour or other material pneumatically into the cyclone separator mounted at the demand center. The main advantage is that by this system large man power is saved with minimum Flour or other material loss and also generates a dust free environment. Accuracy ± of 500 grams over 300 KG or variable discharge is achieved. The pneumatic conveying of Flour or other material is less than one minute. The systems completely automatic and eliminates human error and even human presence. So the possibilities of error are less.
