Abstract

Disclosed are a coffee roaster and a roasting control method. The coffee roaster comprises a cylindrical chamber, the bottom of which has a plurality of through-holes and an outlet port, and which contains unroasted coffee beans therein; a lid which has an inlet port through which unroasted coffee beans are to be inserted, and which covers the top of the chamber; an unroasted coffee bean inlet open/shut device for opening/shutting the inlet port; a roasted coffee bean outlet open/shut device for opening/shutting the outlet port; a rotary blade stirrer arranged on a vertical shaft in the chamber so as to stir the unroasted coffee beans; a heater arranged on the lid; a cyclone discharge device arranged beneath the bottom surface of the chamber so as to suction air from the inside of the chamber through the plurality of through-holes, and discharge the suctioned air; a temperature sensor arranged within the chamber; and a control unit.
