Abstract

The method for selecting and entering at least partially prepared program combinations for performing operating programs of a domestic appliance by machine under the control of programs uses basic programs and program data that are stored in a memory device (4) and that can be selected from an order (Table 7) at a level, which basic programs and program data can be displayed on at least one display (16), can be entered by means of at least one selection control (8, 10 to 13, 24 to 29), and can be activated in total by a start control (15). Description

The invention relates to a method for selecting and inputting at least partially prepared program compositions for the program-controlled and machine execution of operating programs of a domestic appliance, which is set up in particular for wet or dry laundry treatments from stored in a memory device and from an order in a plane selectable basic programs and program data that can be displayed on at least one display and by at least one selection handle input and activated by a start-handle in total. Furthermore, the invention also relates to an operating device which is suitable for carrying out the method according to the invention.

DE 199 05 533 A1 discloses a method for setting up an operating device of a program-controlled household appliance, in which at least one customer-specific operating program and a designation for this operating program can be set. By saving, this customer-specific operating program together with its freely chosen name can then be included in the given selection of operating programs. This known method already allows a largely individualized selection of operating programs and quick access to a desired operating program, without the user having to repeatedly perform the same individual inputs for recurring program requests.

In the applicant's unpublished patent application DE 10 2009 027 780.3 a similar method and a device are described in which in one line of a display display among several basic programs optionally also a display lights up when more basic programs are provided, as in have space for the display line. The invention has for its object to users to facilitate the selection and input of program compilations of operating programs of a household appliance even further, without having to consider for individual individually compiled programs, especially the storage capacity for individual programs - as experience has shown - can not be kept big enough. In most cases, only four individual programs can be stored - often too little. According to a further development, an order of selectable program compositions is alternatively or additionally provided on the lower level, each having the program compositions of the most frequently performed operating program or the most frequently performed operating programs. Thus, the method adapts to the habits of the user. The determination of the most frequent programs preferably takes place from a predetermined point in time, in particular since the first startup of the household appliance. However, it can also be provided that the frequency is determined over a predetermined number of operating programs carried out, for example via the last 10 to 100 operating programs that have been carried out.

The program compilations of executed operating programs are preferably stored in a memory device of the operating device and evaluated in order to determine the last or most frequent program compilation.
