Abstract

An universal cover (1, 2) that may be utilized as a wallet and for protection and storage of electronic devices (5), comprising two cover pages (1.2) where the electronic device (5) is attached to one of the cover pages by means of two parallel elastic bodies (9, 10) in such a way that the cover (1,2) by it self may be folded open around a back part of the cover enabling the touch screen area to be operated freely and so that the back (20) may function as a hinge so the device may be attached in the lining of a trouser or a belt - or let the unit be standing on a table without anything extra to make it be standing with the screen square to user. Optionally the electronic device (5) may be attached to the cover page (2) by attaching its four corners with elastic bodies (16, 17), or pushed into a fixed plastic casted form that are attached to the second cover page and has a built in hinge that stays along with the back of the cover (20)., The inner sides of the two cover pages are pockets (16, 17) placed in order to store banknotes and or receipts and on the outside of the cover pages are placed practical holders for credit cards (3) or plastic cards so that these are both well arranged and easy accessible through the simple way to push out the cards. These credit card pockets are fitted with openings formed as finger holes where there very well may be placed commercial printing, and their position and construction is so that credit cards only can be inserted as far as it is necessary, and so that the edge of one of the cards stays over the underlying card in such a manner that it is easy to get to the edge end of the card - and thus that even smooth cards may be pushed out. - Furthermore such an universal wallet and holder for electronic devices (5) function as a potential and problem-free organiser for headsets that naturally belongs together with the electronic device (5) without the storing will be taking up too big space.

Description

DEVICE FOR STORING ELECTRONIC MEANS AND CARDS
The Technical Field of the Invention
The invention relates to a combined universal and integrated wallet which consists of a folder like unit for storing and protection of electronic devices, such as mobile phones and similar units, for storing and handling of cards, such as credit cards, bank notes and receipts and as a holder for headsets. More specific the invention relates to a device for storing bank notes and receipts, electronic devices and also cards of different types, such as bankcards, driver licences, name cards and similar. The device comprises a folder like main body designed with inner pockets for banknotes or receipts, and pockets to insert and pull out the above mentioned cards, and where the main body comprises at least two folder pages that are mutually connected with a flexible back part which is functioning as a hinge so that the one of the folder pages may be folded along with an axis and turned in relation to the other folder page and where an electronic device may be fixe inside the main body.
Background for the Invention
Newer and modern mobile phones or electronic devices are designed in such a manner that they are provided with a touch screen with one or two glass panes, and a camera lens is often placed both in its back and front. Relatively often it happens that the glasses break if a person loses the device to the ground, something that may happen, either due to the smoothness of the glasses or when the electronic device is in a pocket and is scratched by a sharp or edgy object. As habits develop, most modern human beings need to bring with them both an electronic device like a mobile phone and as well a wallet with credit cards. Another aspect is that many people also have a need or wish to carry so called headsets when such an electronic device may be used as a MP3 or music player, and they wish to carry these together with the electronic device - even when the headset are not in use.
There are separate solutions in the marked designed to solve the different problems or needs connected with the use of mobile phones or other electronic devices, and also provide storing and use of credit cards and headsets. All these solutions seem to solve some of the problems or some of the needs. For instance there are reinforcing foils to be stuck on outside the glass panes of a mobile phone and there are tailor-made cases of different design for mobile phones. Some of these tailor-made cases are made to attach the mobile phone in the belt with belt holders or clips. Likewise there are solutions for modern wallets adapted to the daily use of credit cards. In addition there are separate solutions for the intention to organize the wires of headsets, when the headsets are not in use.
However there are no known products or solutions that have an integrated, universal and combined practical solution of all the above mentioned problems or needs, and which at the same time enables the most possible practical daily use of plastic cards or credit cards, and also providing the possibility to store a headset in connection with the mobile phone or the electronic device in such a way that the wires don't entangle, when the headsets are not in use.
Modern mobile phones with touch screens have furthermore been provided with a function that in reality transforms them into mini TVs or video players and where a person may watch films or TV programs when for instance sitting on a train or plane, and there is a need for a technical solution for this problem.
The present invention relates to a solution also solving this problem so that the folder like body with the screen may be placed standing even on smooth surfaces.
Modern mobile phones with touch screen are furthermore designed so large and have such a smooth surface that it may be difficult to pull the device out of a pocket on particular jeans - specially when seated - or for women to pull out the device out from their purse. To solve this problem there is a need for a technical solution, which the presents invention has solved with a loop which also functions as a holder for the earplugs of the headsets.
Furthermore there may be a situation where the user wishes to bring both a wallet, mobile phone and headsets when jogging or walking, or for instance when he or she wear tracksuits or swimming suits with no pockets or belts. In such situations there is today no other solution than to walk carrying the mobile phone and the wallet in the hand. Present invention provides a solution for this need. Modern human beings are mainly dependent of having easy access to the mobile phone and have it available within reach wherever they go - for instance in the office or in a working situation or during a ride with a car. Therefore in such situations there is a need for a practical solution that enables the user both to have the mobile phone within reach, and at the same time in a simple way may be able to flip up the mobile phone or electronic device and in such manner immediately be able to see who is calling, if there is an incoming mail or message and then make the decision if he or she wants to answer the call or with a simple touch on the touch screen choose "load speaking" and answer the call. Present invention relates to a practical solution for such a need.
Every modern mobile phone has a built-in possibility to store files for films and music and thus most users uses their mobile phones as a music player. The problem is that it seems hard always to remember bringing the headset, which is necessary to enjoy the music, video or TV. Another aspect is that the wires of the headset seem to have an inherent nature to entangle. Present invention provides a practical solution for this problem.
In our modern society as a general rule it is a necessity to bring bankcards, driver licence, member or admission cards having credit card size in the wallet. The trend both tends towards the fact that most cards are made in the size of a "credit card" and as well that most users less and less employ bank notes or coins in daily life. And when a person needs to pull out such cards, the present invention offers a practical solution since cards both may be stored in a visibly well arranged manner, and furthermore offering a solution which makes it as simple as possible to push out the cards from the wallet, whether the cards are smooth or have raised imprinting. In addition the solution implies that as many cards as desired may be stored without occupying unnecessary volume. The present invention has also solved this problem by providing a flexible locking mechanism on main folder shaped body.
Norwegian design register 080089 discloses merely a wallet having a pocket in which it is possible to store credit cards, banknotes and receipts where it is possible to push out credit cards with a finger. This solution has however the disadvantage that the shape of the construction, the cards and pockets in leather will build unnecessary voluminous in height, and the mechanism of this design registration does not have a flexible locking mechanism that enables to keep the wallet locked independent of how many bank notes, credit cards or receipts are stored in the unit. Furthermore this solution has no space for storing a mobile phone with the wallet, and it is only possible to push out the cards one direction. Cards that don't have raised imprinting, will be difficult to push out.
From US 2007/0284264 there is a known device for storing cards of different kinds, such as bank cards, driver licence, name cards and similar. The device comprises a case like main body designed with pockets to insert and pull out the above mentioned cards. The main body comprises two cover pages that are mutually connected with a flexible part enabling one cover page to be folded with respect to the other folder page. On a surface on one of the cover pages having pockets an opening is provided, facilitating access to a card intended to be stored in the pocket, so that said card may be moved out of said pocket parallel with the plane provided with the opening.
There are other ordinary embodiments for storing of credit cards together with a mobile phone, but also here the cards are placed in a ordinary way, the cards placed like stairs with leather between each card and these solutions don't make it easy to pinch out the cards - because just a small part of the top of the cards stick out from these pockets so these solutions don't offer a practical solution of how the cards in a simple and practical way may be pushed out, like present invention does. Solutions with cards placed like stairs with leather between each card makes the thickness of the unit as a whole considerable thicker than necessary because it requires that for each cards there are two layers of leather and shirting. This solution which here is mentioned implies no possibility for how a headset with earplugs may be stored together with the mobile phone or the electronic device. The existing models in the market offers neither no possibility to place cards on the second folder page, because the most mobile phones or smart phone models has a camera unit with a lens in its backside, and therefore there must be placed a hole into the second cover page, which will make it impossible to place cards there.
From GB 2 393 640 there is a known device for storing banknotes, electronic devices and cards of different kinds, such as bank cards, commercial cards, credit cards, name cards and similar. This device comprise a case like main body designed with pockets for inserting and pulling out said cards. Moreover, the main body comprises at least two cover pages that are mutually connected with a flexible part enabling one cover to be turned along an axis in relation to the other cover page. On the device there is arranged several pockets in one of the cover pages. There is also arranged an attachment arrangement to keep a digital device fastened, such as a mobile phone or similar.
To avoid that wires for instance to a headset entangle it is previously known to employ a spool like device on which the wire is twisted around. This unit is in both ends fitted with a groove for the wire to be fixed so it does not become unintentio- nally released from the spool. This solution however is silent about how the earplugs or headphone part shall or may be stored. Present application provides a solution to this problem.
There are also solutions that are designed to have mobile phones in the belt. Such solutions may be supplied with a belt holder in the form of a loop or a clip, and a lid that may be kept locked by means of a magnet or Velcro™, and where the lid itself may be flipped up and the mobile phone must be taken out in order to be used. But such solutions depend on a belt - not like present invention which has the possibility to attach the unit to the belt or in the lining - and even having the possibility of operating the mobile phone while it is attached on the belt/lining and thus does not have to be taken out for use of the mobile phone.
Furthermore notebooks/calendars with a corresponding locking mechanism in the form of an elastic is known, where the user may keep the book closed with an elastic band that are attached in the second cover page and runs along with the back of the book. Summary of invention
An object of the present invention is to provide an improved, integrated, multifunctional solution meeting the needs for a handy, practical and simple handling of several means, such as card of different kinds, electronic devices etc.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a solution that solves said drawbacks or problems and which is universally adopted to most mobile phones or electronic devices, and without requiring that the attachment arrangement needs to be tailor-made to each model, while at the same time makes it simple to pick up and use the electronic device.
Yet another object of the invention is to provide a solution that furthermore is so configured that it protects the electronic device if dropped to the ground or against getting scratches from coins or keys if placed in a pocket or a purse with for instance keys or coins. In such manner also another purpose is fulfilled in that there no unintentionally commands on the touch screen is made when the unit for example is picked up from a pocket or a purse.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a solution where the unit with the electronic device may be attached in a belt or a lining without having to install a separate belt buckle or clips. Thus a possible need is fulfilled according to the present invention, for example when walking on the beach, where a mobile phone may be attached to the lining of the swimming suit, so that the user doesn't need to carry the unit by hand - and at the same time to have the electronic device easy accessible for commands on the touch screen.
Yet another object of present invention implies the option to let the headset with earplugs and wires stay with the mobile phone in a practical and space-saving manner at any time without causing any inconveniences or without creating a voluminous problem and at the same time preventing the wires to entangle.
Another object is to provide a credit card wallet that may be integrated with a mobile phone in such a way that plastic cards of credit card size and credit cards may be used in the most practical and simple way, for instance for blind persons or for handicapped persons, both due to well arrangement which makes it easy to find the different card, and furthermore providing the possibility to push out the plastic card in an easy and trouble-free manner, even when these cards are smooth without raised imprinting on them. Present invention makes this possible by making it easy to get a view of the different cards, and makes it easy to push out or pull in the single card, and even smooth cards - for instance cards of the smooth surface like admission cards may be pushed out with no difficulty. The pockets inside the cover pages also fulfil the wallet function by providing the possibility to place banknotes and receipts in the pockets inside the cover pages. Yet another object of the invention is that it offer a practical solution by which the cover with the mobile phone may be placed on even slippery surfaces and stand stabilized for instance on a dining table of an airplane in such a way that the user may watch films on the screen while the screen of the mobile phone stays square towards the eyes of the user and without having to hold the device with his hands.
Also another object of the invention is to facilitate the possibility to carry the mobile phone or electronic device, credit card and the headphones fastened to garments with no pockets or belts.
Yet another object of the present invention is to facilitate the possibility when the device is attached to for example the belt, to be able to see instantly who is calling, if there is an incoming mail or message and make the decision if he/she wants to make a response or not, and chose if he with a simple touch on the touch screen wants to turn on the load speaker or instead pick up the phone and answer the call.
The objects mentioned above are achieved by the solutions further specific defined in the characterized parts of the independent claims. Different embodiments and variables of the device are defined in the dependent claims.
According to the invention the device may consist of at least one of following features:
- at least one pocket for cards, arranged in at least one of the two pages of the folder, the at least on one plane in one folder page being designed with an opening that facilitate access to a card intended to be stored in the pocket so that the card may be pushed out of said pocket parallel with the plane where the opening is arranged and/or
- attachment devices for electronic devices preferably with transparent elastic bands to attach a digital device, such as a mobile phone, iPod™, calculator or similar and/or
an arrangement for possible storage of headsets with wires and/or
an elastic locking mechanism that consists of an elastic band that preferably is attached to said storage arrangement for headsets, running parallel with the back of the folder. According to an advantageous embodiment a device is provided for storing electronic devices and cards of different kinds, such as bank cards driver licences, name cards and similar. The device consists of a folder or case like main body that comprises at least two folder pages that are mutually connected with a flexible part, enabling that one cover page may be turned around an axis in relation to the other cover page. Moreover, the device is designed with at least one pocket in one cover page for storing said cards, said pocket at its end being provided with a slit to allow inserting or taking out the cards of the pocket and where the device is provided with devices for attaching an digital device.
Furthermore the device comprises following combination:
said at the least one pocket for cards is provided with one plane, arranged in at least one of the two cover pages, said at least in one plane being designed with an opening in each of the short sides, so that cards may be pushed out of said pocket parallel to the plane where the opening is placed; and
- attachment arrangements attaching an electronic device, such as a mobile phone, Ipod™, calculator or similar, the attachment arrangement being in the form of loop like parts which are attached to the main body in the flexible part between the two cover pages, and where the attachment arrangements are placed together in such a way that a display on the electronic device is visible and available for operation when the digital device is attached, and preferably also with a device for storing of earplugs with wires.
Said opening in the plane(s) may be arranged in such a way with respect to the placements of the cards in a pocket so that the edge of one card is reachable through the opening to enable the cards to be pushed through one of the openings in the top of the pocket.
Said attachment arrangement (8,9) may be in the form of at least one, preferably two elastic bands placed in order to surround the mentioned electronic device. Said attachment arrangement may further preferably be in a form of elastic bodies with the form of a closed loop which are intended to surround the electronic device, and the loop(s) are fixed to the inside surface of the flexible part.
The device may be provided with an attached locking device in the form of an elastic body that extend along at least one plane in the longitudinal direction along at least one of the cover pages, while the device for storing the headset may be arranged in connection with one of the cover pages. This may for example extend outside the cover pages, integrated in the device itself. Such a solution enables the earplugs to be put into the loop like form, and also enable the device to be pulled out from a purse or pocket in a more easy manner than mentioned above. At least one of the cover pages may advantageously be provided with preferably two pockets for cards, where the cover page front and/or backside may be provided with an opening formed as a finger hole opening which facilitate access to the cards stored in the pocket(s), so that the cards may be pushed out of the pockets parallel with the front or back cover page. Said pockets may be open from one or both sides. In any case the pockets comprise a holster made so that the cards cannot be pushed longer in than they will be available and visible. Also the second cover page may be provided with such pockets.
According to one embodiment at least one pocket is open at its two square ends so that said cards may be taken out and pushed in both ends of the pocket. Said holes, formed like finger holes in the planes, may preferably be placed in such a way in relation to the position of the cards in one pocket, that one edge of the shorter end of the cards is available through the finger hole shaped opening in order to be able to push the cards out of the pockets through the opening in the end of the pocket.
According to yet another embodiment of the invention it may between said cover sides also be arranged devices for a hinged attachment arrangement for an electronic device, such as mobile phone, en iPod™ calculator or similar.
Said attachment arrangement may preferably be in the form of at least one, preferably two or more elastic bodies - preferably in transparent material adapted to surround said electronic device where said attachment arrangement has a form of elastic bands, formed as a loop that are designed to surround the digital device.
The device may instead or in addition be provided with yet another attached locking means in the form of an elastic band or tape that are drawn out along the long sides of at least one plane of said at least one of the two cover pages or the electronic device, in present invention the locking means is an elastic band, attached as a loop through a hole in the loop intended for positioning the earplugs and this solution implies that the user may be selective in relation to which of the parts of the unit should be closed and that the locking means in the form of an elastic band simply may be replaced if broken. Another point with the locking means in the form of an elastic band is that it may support the cover with the touch telephone standing in a stable position - even on slippery so the screen may be standing in a position perpendicular to the sightline of the user.
As an alternative embodiment the present invention may be provided with a folder like storage device for both credit cards, banknotes, receipts headsets and the mobile phone, - where the attachment of the mobile phone to the folder like unit is provided with the hinge like attachment arrangements preferably comprising two transparent elastic bands that runs in parallel over the mobile phone unit, having a tailor-made hinged casted attachment arrangement. In this embodiment the mobile phone may be pushed into a plastic casted form and for attachment. By such a solution the plastic casted form comprises one unit for the mobile phone unit to be pushed into a hinge unit and a back plate that are attached to the second cover page.
Moreover, yet another embodiment may be such that the device is provided with an elastic body attached on the shorter side of the cover page so that headsets may be attached in a loop like part of the elastic embodiment.
One advantage of the solution according to the invention is that there is established an universal solution making it adoptable to most so-called smart phones or electronic devices and where earplugs/headsets with their wires may be stored in a simple way and at the same time that other necessities like credit cards, bank card, admission cards and banknotes may be stored in the same unit without making it unnecessary voluminous.
It is worth to mention that the invention as described above, may be produced with an alternative design adopted to the specific models where the attachment arrangement is a hinged casted attachment arrangement that is attached to the second cover page and that this attachment arrangement is tailor-made for the particular model.

Detailed description of the invention
The invention relates to a cover for electronic devices with a screen. Figure 1 shows a folder like cover that has two pages 1 ,2 serving the function to protect the device itself against damages if falling to the ground and protect possible glass panels against being scratched when the electronic device is lying in a purse or a pocket. The two pages of the cover also function as a wallet wherein the internal pockets 19 of the pages of the cover have a space for banknotes and receipts, while there on the outside of the pages of the cover have room for name cards/plastic cards in credit card size and credit cards. Figure 1 shows the cover folded and closed, and shows how the outer part of the cover page is provided with an oval finger hole opening 4 stamped out in the cover page 1 (and not shown on the cover page 2). Credit cards 5 may be inserted from opening 8 and credit card 6 may be inserted from opening 7 into the pocket that are fixed to the cover - so that cards may be inserted into both the sides of both the cover pages, but not further in than necessary.
The oval stamped holes 4 of each of the pages of the cover 1 ,2, facilitate a well arranged storing of the cards 5 and 6 and facilitate that the card 5 may easily be pushed out without problems even if the card 5 does not have imprinted raised writing, or the surface is smooth, such as admission cards, name cards, driving licences and similar, because the card 5, preferable those with smooth surface, may be placed in the upper pocket so that the edge of the card 5 is reachable with the finger while the card 6 with raised imprinting is underlying and easily may be pushed out due to the raised imprinting of the card 6. The cover has an elastic band formed as a loop, which keeps the cover closed when it is necessary, and secures moreover that the electronic device does not slip out in the longitudinal direction, if the cover with the electronic device is attached in the belt or the lining of a trouser so it is easy accessible, ref. Figure 7. The rear part of the cover 20 function as a hinge and cover page 1 which is stiffened so that among others the pockets for credit cards, may function as a belt holder, which it is transformed into, when stuck into the belt or the lining of a skirt or trousers. The mobile phone 3 will be kept attached to the cover with two elastic bodies 8 and 9 preferably made from a transparent material which is attached through two sets of openings 12, 13, 14 and 15 in the inside layer of the cover, ref. Figure 3. The two elastic bodies have each a loop form that result from fixing them together and thereby they are attached through the four holes 12, 13, 14 and 15. The holes 12 - 15 are strengthened so that the attachment arrangements 12-15 shall not destroy the inner material in the second cover page or the back part 20. Therefore the elastic bodies 8,9 run through two sets of holes in a folded Dacron or Kevlar sheet that are placed in the back part of the cover 20. These two elastic bodies 8, 9 are thus loop formed and attached to the Kevlar or Dacron material and the folding edge of the folded piece are placed in the edge between the back part 20 and the second cover page so that the electronic device lays flat when the cover is opened, ref. Figure 4 and so that the cover pages easily may be folded around in such a manner that the cover pages may be close to each other, ref. Fig. 10, for example when the smart phone is used as a camera unit. This integrated collective construction facilitates that the cover with the electronic device may be standing on a table, ref. Figure 9, secured with the elastic band 11 in such a manner that the user may watch films or videos on the screen of the mobile phone with the unit standing in a steady position square to the user, and without the need for him or her to hold the device in the hands when for instance sitting in a plane or train. The cover with the two elastic bodies 8,9 facilitates that the cover are close to universal, as they make it possible for the cover to fit most models and the distance between these two bands is adapted to what is normally outside the operating field on the touch screen of an electronic device. And when the elastic bands are transparent, commands may still be successful due to the technology that applies for most mobile phones with touch screen. The elastic body 11 , which also is formed like a loop and runs through a hole in the somehow wider elastic embodiment 18, ref. the Figures, has the function to prevent the mobile phone to slip out from the length side of the cover and functions furthermore as a locking mechanism and as an aid for the cover to stand steady on a table, ref. Figure 9. This elastic body 18 is fixed to the second cover page at about a third of the width of the shorter side of the cover and it projects a bit outside the cover itself and has more functions. Firstly the elastic body 11 is anchored in the elastic body 18 and thus facilitate that the elastic body 11 may surround the second cover page, ii) the second cover page + the mobile phone, or iii) the first cover page, the mobile phone and the second cover page. This elastic body 18 may be used to keep the headphones in place, ref. Figure and as well makes it easier when the entity will be pulled up from a the pocket of a trouser or a purse. Figure 3 shows when this function is used, the wires of the headset may be spooled around the back part of the cover 20 and in that way the back are transformed to have a spool function and the cover may then be folded together and the earplugs may thus be attached in the loop 18.
Externally the cover consists of two layers that are fixed together. One layer - which comprise the outside of the cover - and the other with two pair of folded polypropylene sheets or pockets, ref Figure 12. They are folded in such a way that one part of the folded material or the polypropylene foil is a bit longer than the length of a credit card, while the other folded part is approximately 9 mm shorter. The outer layer, which comprises the outer part of the wallet, is covered with contact glue and glue is also covered on the upper part of the polypropylene foil or pockets.
Thereafter the pieces of foil are glued in the right place in such a way that each of them cover the inside of what will be the outer part of the part of the wallet, and in such a way that there will be a distance to and an overlap possibility for the outer part of the leather. Thus the outer and inner part of the part of the wallet may be sown together, the material on the outer layer are folded around the inner part of the wallet and thereafter be fixed together by sowing along the length side of the device. When the four polypropylene foils are glued to the outer leather and are provided with a seam on their outer edges, there will be dyed out a finger hole in such a way that the dye is going through all the layers and this stamped hole 4 is placed in the middle of the front in the length direction, but also so that when cards are pushed into the pockets, and thus stopped by the folding edges of the pockets, then the out dyed out holed runs over and through both of the folded pockets. There are two advantages with this; firstly credit cards can be visible and pushed out when the cards are stuck in the upper and also the lower part of the wallet part. This has also the advantage that if one has a smooth plastic card - for instance an admission card or member card- with no raised imprinting on its front, then the card may, if placed in the upper pocket, be pushed out by the finger from the edge of the cards and pushed out without problems. An advantage is also that it is easy to have a general view of where the card are situated, and the device rooms four cards - even if it is very possible to have several cards in each pocket.
When the outer layer of the part of the wallet are fixed and stamped out, with seams along its upper and lower sides in such a way that the polypropylene foil is fixed with seams, then the surplus material is folded over the inner layer of the cover and then the two material layer that constitute the cover are fixed together with seams in the edge of the length sides.
If present invention are to be made in an alternative design, with a casted tailor-made hinged plastic part which is attached to the second cover page, the device will look like figure 12 where 28 is the cast hinged plastic part, while 30 is the hinge itself that are attached to a plate that are fixed to the inside of the second cover page. Figure 14 shows this embodiment without a mobile telephone pushed into the holster 28, while figure 15 is this seen in perspective from behind- also without the mobile phone model.
