Abstract

An apparatus (1) for utilizing waste heat comprises a steam circuit (2) and a gas tank (15). The gas tank (15) is connected to a high-pressure area (11) of the steam circuit (2) by means of a connection line (16) comprising a stop valve (17). By opening the stop valve (17), air from the high-pressure area (11) of the steam circuit (2) can be stored in the gas tank (15) during operation.
