Abstract
One embodiment of the present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for encoding/decoding an adaptive motion vector using structural information of a video, and to a method and an apparatus for encoding/decoding the video using same. The embodiment of the present invention provides the method and apparatus for encoding/decoding the motion vector and to the method and the apparatus for encoding/decoding the video comprising the following steps: determining a predictive motion vector based on structural information of a peripheral block of a current block; encoding a differential motion vector, which is the difference in value between the current block and the predictive motion vector; determining the predictive motion vector based on structural information of the peripheral block; extracting the differential motion vector from a bitstream; adding the extracted differential motion vector and the predictive motion vector; and recovering and decoding the motion vector of the current block to be recovered.
