Abstract
A method comprises determining the scheduling of data for sending data over a communications network on one or more aggregated carriers (402). Thereafter the scheduling of at least one empty portion is determined (404). The at least one empty portion is for retuning a radio frequency module at a receiver. A data frame comprising at least one empty portion for sending over the communications network on the basis of the scheduling of the data and the scheduling of the at least one empty portion is generated (406). Then the data frame is sent to the receiver (408).
