Abstract
In order to record a feed energy amount of a photovoltaic system that was potentially possible in a time period but not in fact fed, the system comprising one or more inverters for feeding electrical energy from one or more photovoltaic generators into an alternating current network (4), the photovoltaic system (1) is operated in the time period coupled to the alternating current network, wherein the inverter is, or the inverters are, operated differently in the time period, and wherein in the time period no energy is fed or a feed energy amount that is reduced with respect to the feed energy amount that was potentially possible is fed, and on the basis of the operating data of the inverter or inverters recorded during said differing operations the feed energy amount that was potentially possible in the time period is determined.
