Description

Bezeichnung der Erfindung  Name of the invention
Kette für einen Steuerantrieb oder einen Aggregateantrieb einer Antriebseinrichtung eines Kraftfahrzeuges Chain for a control drive or an aggregate drive of a drive device of a motor vehicle
Beschreibung description
Gebiet der Erfindung Field of the invention
The invention relates to a chain for a control drive or an aggregate drive of a drive device of a motor vehicle having the features of the preamble of claim 1. Such chains are used to transmit rotary motion from a driving shaft, such as a crankshaft, to a driven shaft, such as a camshaft. The chains are formed from a plurality of rotatably interconnected lug sets, which in turn are composed of a plurality of tabs, such as center straps, inner straps and / or cover straps. The tabs are provided with corresponding recesses are inserted through the chain pins or chain sleeves, so that the tabs are positively connected to each other. The middle tabs are preferably arranged rotationally fixed on the chain pin or the chain sleeves and serve to transmit power within the tab package, while the cover tabs are placed from the outside and hold the tab packages together. To connect the tab packages, the inner plates are provided, which are rotatably supported on the chain pin or chain sleeves. Depending on their tasks, the tabs can have different widths and lengths, wherein the geometry is of course also determined by the toothing of the meshing sprocket. The chain pins or chain sleeves are for the sustainability and the life of the chain of crucial importance, since they form the frictional connection of the tabs, so must have a corresponding strength, and at the same time be subject to increased wear by the constant rotational movement of the tabs arranged thereon.
From DE 197 54 489 A1 it is known to subject the chain pins or the inner surfaces of the tabs to a special surface treatment, so that the hardness is increased, and thus the wear resistance is improved. By the proposed surface treatment, however, the manufacturing costs and the production time for the chain are disadvantageously increased.
The object of the invention is to provide a chain which has a long service life and load capacity and is inexpensive to manufacture.
The object of the invention is achieved by a chain having the features of claim 1. Further preferred embodiments of the invention can be found in the subclaims, the description and the associated figures.
The object of the invention is achieved by a chain for a control drive or an aggregate drive of a drive device of a motor vehicle with a plurality of tabs with corresponding recesses through which a chain pin is inserted, characterized in that the chain pin is formed of a through hardened bearing steel.
Es zeigt: The use of a hardened bearing steel for the chain pin is advantageous in that it eliminates a separate treatment of the surface, and the chain pin already has the required material properties by the use of the proposed through-hardened material. The invention will be explained in more detail with reference to a preferred embodiment. It shows:
Fig. : Laschenpaket einer Kette mit einem Kettenbolzen aus durchgehärtetem Wälzlagerstahl Fig.: Laschenpaket a chain with a chain pin made of through hardened bearing steel
In Figure 1, a tab package 5 of a chain according to the invention can be seen, which is composed of several tabs. It can be seen a center flap 2, on each of which an inner flap 3 borders on both sides. The entire plate pack 5 is covered on its outer sides via a respective cover flap 1 which hold the flap pack 5 together. The tabs each have corresponding recesses through which a chain pin 4 is inserted therethrough. Overall, the chain is of course composed of a number of such tab packages 5, which are each connected to one another via the inner tabs 3.
The chain pin 4 is made of a through hardened bearing steel, e.g. of the grade 100 Cr6 or 52100. The use of a bearing steel is advantageous in that it has a high degree of purity and thus is resistant to the train-pressure and alternating stresses acting in the chain and is also very resistant to wear. The use of through hardened bearing steel in particular offers the advantage that the desired surface properties of the chain pin 4 can be set cost-effectively in a through hardening process. Rolling bearing steels are characterized by a good hardness assumption, so that the required time for the through hardening process is relatively low. Another practical advantage results from the fact that rolling elements can be used, which are used in identical dimensions in bearings, thereby being produced in very large numbers and thus cost.
Another advantage resulting from the invention is that the contour of the tabs are produced in a cost-effective normal stamping process can be, without causing disadvantages in terms of the life and the load capacity of the chain. Furthermore, various tolerance specifications of the chain can be lowered, whereby the manufacturing costs of the chain can be further reduced for the same service life and load capacity. For example, the tolerance specification can be lowered to the perpendicularity of the end face of the chain pin 4 to the axis of the chain pin 4 so far that this value is greater than 0.1 mm or the runout of the chain pin 4 exceeds the usual tolerance of 10%. In addition, it is conceivable that the chains are no longer stretched and thus reach with greater length tolerances than usual.
