Abstract

The invention relates to a method for carrying out programme code-updates in an at least partially meshed network (1) comprising several node groups having network nodes (2-i) of various types. An overlay-network is determined for each node group which is to be updated, said overlay-network comprising target network nodes of the respective node groups and transfer network nodes of other node groups, said target network nodes of the respective node groups which are separated from each other can be connected by means of said transfer network nodes. At least one update-programme-code is transferred to the network nodes of the determined overlay-network of the respective node groups. The transfer-network nodes of the overlay-network memorise the update-programme-code in a transient manner and the target network nodes of the overlay-network memorise the update-programme-code in a permanent manner. Said method and network are very versatile with regards to use, in particular in wireless networks.
