Abstract

The invention relates to a germinating device (1) for growing sprouts of all types, comprising a water pan (3) having a top edge for receiving water required for the germination, a seed holder (2) rotatable about a horizontal axis and disposed above the water pan, a drive system for displacing the seed holder, wherein the drive system has an electronic controller for displacing the seed holder (2) according to parameters, wherein the rotating seed holder (2) comprises a plurality of openings (25) on the circumferential side and comprises one or more water blades (22) on the exterior thereof, wherein the one or more water blades are disposed so that they are temporarily immersed in the water pan during the displacement of the seed holder, in order to transport water from the water pan through the circumferential openings and into the seed holder.
