Abstract

The present invention relates to an access point (AP) providing wireless LAN terminals (91, 92 and 93) with an access service to a mobile internet network via a wireless LAN, or to a multi-purpose terminal device having the functions of such an access point. According to the present invention, a mobile access point (100) or a multi-purpose terminal device (101) is formed  by providing the required software function blocks on a hardware platform for producing a typical multi-mode portable terminal (10) having a wireless LAN client function and a mobile internet client function, or by configuring or installing the required software function blocks through downloading content on a typical multi-mode portable terminal (10) having a wireless LAN client function and a mobile internet client function. Consequently, the mobile access point (100) or multi-purpose terminal device (101) of the present invention can be easily obtained at low cost, users can more easily carry a device having the functions of the mobile access point (100), and cost and time can be significantly reduced, satisfying development/approval requirements for commercializing the mobile access point (100) or multi-purpose terminal device (101).
