The card number information that has been read is temporarily stored in a memory (25). The temporarily stored card number information is transmitted to a supervisor when the transmission thereof has been enabled by means of an enable-transmission button (9), whereby the timing with which the card number information is transmitted can be controlled so that the supervisor is unable to know the contents of the cards (C) before the player. Thus, a card shooter device is provided that is able to prevent cheating by cooperation between the game supervisor and the player.

Description

Card shooter device
The present invention relates to a card reading device that reads a playing card (playing card, hereinafter simply referred to as a card), and more particularly to a device that is suitably used in a card game in which a card shooter is used.
Conventionally, card readers suitable for use in card games played at casinos have been proposed. For example, Japanese National Patent Publication No. 10-508236 (page 12, FIG. 1) discloses a card reader provided in a card shooter. In this apparatus, a CCD image sensor and related optical components are built in a card shooter. A card reading window is provided at the outlet of the card shooter, and the card is read through the reading window when the card passes the shooter outlet.
Then, the card reading result thus read is transmitted to a game monitoring pit outside the card shooter, a control device in the central monitoring room, and a display device. In the conventional apparatus, the card reading result is transmitted immediately after the card reading processing operation is completed.
However, in the conventional apparatus, since the card reading result is transmitted immediately after the card reading processing operation is completed, before the player of the game table knows the winning or losing of each game, the reading data is stored in the game monitoring pit or the center. It may be sent to the monitoring room controller. Then, the supervisor in the game monitoring pit or the central monitoring room can know the contents of the card and the game win / loss before the player. Therefore, it becomes possible for the game monitor and the player to perform an illegal act in cooperation with each other.
The present invention has been made under the above background. Further, the card shooter device 1 is provided with a communication terminal 8 and a transmission permission button 9.
Here, first, the configuration of the card shooter unit 3 will be described. FIG. 2 is a side view for explaining the configuration of the card shooter unit 3, and FIG. 3 is a plan view for explaining the configuration of the card shooter unit 3. As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the card shooter unit 3 includes a card storage unit that stores a plurality of cards C, and an opening 11 that allows the card C to be slid out of the card storage unit. Yes.
The floor 12 and the front wall 13 of the card accommodation unit 10 are inclined as shown in the figure. In the card accommodating portion 10, a bundle of cards C is pushed forward by a card pushing member 14 with a roller and is pushed against the front wall 13. As shown in the figure, the front wall 13 has a U-shaped opening 11 below. The dealer slides the card C and takes out the card C from the opening 11.
Although not shown, a black cloth is hung on the front wall 13 so as to close the opening 11. A cover is attached to the upper part of the card accommodating portion 10. The card shooter device 1 is entirely black and made of resin.
Next, the configuration of the card reading unit 4 will be described. FIG. 4 is a side view for explaining the configuration of the card reading unit 4, and FIG. 5 is a plan view for explaining the configuration of the card reading unit 4. As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the card reading unit 4 is located at a location of the card guide unit 15 and a card guide unit 15 that guides the cards C taken out from the opening 11 one by one onto the game table T. A sensor unit 16 is provided.
The card guide portion 15 is connected to the card outlet portion of the card shooter portion 3 and integrated with the outlet portion. In addition, although the case where the card guide part 15 is provided in the housing 2 is illustrated here, the card guide part 15 may be provided on a platform (not shown) of the card shooter. Although the case where the sensor unit 16 is built in the housing 2 is illustrated here, the sensor unit 16 may be built in the platform.
The card guide portion 15 has a card guide surface 17 that is an inclined surface, and one end of the card guide surface 17 continues to the opening 11 at the card outlet. The card guide surface 17 extends forward and downward from the card exit, and the other end continues to the game table T. The card guide surface 17 becomes a card reading measurement surface.
Card guide rails 18 are attached to the edges on both sides of the card guide surface 17. As shown in the figure, a card passage gap 19 is formed between the card guide rail 18 and the card guide surface 17. The size of the card passage gap 19 is set to be slightly larger than the thickness of the card C. The card C passes through the card guide surface 17 after being drawn out from the card shooter. At this time, both ends of the card C pass through the card path gap 19.
Further, a sensor cover 20 is attached to each of the two card guide rails 18 with screws. As shown in the figure, when the sensor cover 20 is removed, the sensor unit 16 including four sensors is exposed. The four sensors are two black light type sensors 21, an object detection sensor 22, and a measurement validity determination sensor 23. These four sensors are provided on the card guide surface 17 of the card guide portion 15.
As shown in the figure, the black light type sensor 21 (hereinafter referred to as UV sensor 21) is located on the card guide surface 17 relatively upstream in the flow direction of the card C. Further, as shown in the figure, the UV sensor 21 is disposed in the internal space of the housing 2 and is fixed to the ceiling surface (the surface on the back side of the card guide surface 17), and is exposed from the opening of the card guide surface 17. ing.
The UV sensor 21 includes an LED that emits ultraviolet light (ultraviolet LED) and a detector. Ultraviolet rays (black light) are applied to the card C, and the code on the card is detected by a detector. On the card C, codes of the number of cards C (rank, A, 1 to 10, J, Q, K) are printed with ultraviolet light emitting ink that develops color when exposed to ultraviolet light.
The UV sensor 21 is connected to the control unit 5 through a cable. In the control unit 5, the number of cards C is determined from the output signal of the detector of the UV sensor 21. The control unit 5 is built in the housing 2. Note that a control device (control box) corresponding to the control unit 5 may be arranged separately from the platform of the card shooter.
Here, the determination of the number of cards will be described more specifically. In the present embodiment, as the code for the number of cards, for example, a plurality of square marks are arranged on the edge of the card C. The number of cards is represented by the number of marks. When detecting the mark, the UV sensor 21 outputs an ON signal. Therefore, the UV sensors 21 at both edges output an ON signal corresponding to the number of marks. The control unit 5 counts on signals input from the two UV sensors 21. Thereby, the number of two marks detected by the two UV sensors 21 is obtained. Then, the control unit 5 identifies the number of cards from the number of marks.
Note that the number of marks and the number of cards may be the same, but they need not be the same. The number of marks and the number of cards need only correspond one to one. The control unit 5 may compare the number of detected marks with the number of marks registered in advance, and thereby specify the number of cards.
In the baccarat game, “J”, “Q”, and “K” are treated the same as “10”. Therefore, “J”, “Q”, and “K” may be assigned the same code as “10”. In addition to the number of cards, a code representing a soot (spade, heart, diamond, black) may be attached to the card C and read. Thus, the form of the code is not limited as long as the number of cards necessary for the game is expressed within the scope of the present invention.
In the present embodiment, the card shooter device 1 includes a UV sensor 21 that detects a mark from the card C and outputs a signal, and this UV sensor 21 outputs an ON signal while the mark is passing. A predetermined number of marks are provided on the card C, and the marks are provided at the edges, and are thus arranged in the card drawing direction so as to pass through the UV sensor 21. The number of marks is associated with the number of cards, and the control unit 5 identifies the card C from the detection signal of the UV sensor 21.
Further, as described above, the card shooter device 1 of the present embodiment is provided with two UV sensors 21. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 6A, both edges of a normal card C (ie, “A”, “2”,... “K” cards) correspond to the UV sensors 21 on both sides. The marks are arranged, and these marks are read by the UV sensors 21 on both sides. The mark is preferably provided in an area having no pattern. However, the actual mark is not visible in normal times.
As described above, in this embodiment, a predetermined number of marks are suitably arranged on each edge of the card C. Regarding the relationship between the number of marks and the card C, the total number of marks may be simply related to the number of cards. Further, the combination of the number of marks in the two rows may be associated with the number of cards. In the latter form, it is possible to identify more cards C with fewer marks. The number of mark rows is not limited to two, and the number of rows may be one or three or more. Then, two mark rows are preferably provided on both edges. In this case, the arrangement of the UV sensor 21 is also adjusted appropriately.
Next, the cut card CC will be described with reference to FIG. The cut card CC is a card used in a casino or the like. Normally, a plurality of decks (for example, 4 decks, 6 decks, 8 decks, etc.) of cards C are stored in the card storage unit 10 in a random arrangement (shuffled playing cards). The cut card CC is inserted into the bundle of cards C. This cut card CC indicates the end timing of use of each of a plurality of decks (for example, 4 decks, 6 decks, 8 decks, etc.) on the table. When a cut card indicating the end timing of each series of games appears, the subsequent cards are not used in the game.
When a cut card CC appears, the card C in the card storage unit 10 needs to be replaced with a new bundle of cards from a plurality of decks. Therefore, it is necessary to notify the game monitoring pit and the central monitoring room that a cut card has appeared (hereinafter referred to as “cut card appearance information”). For this reason, the code which shows the cut card CC is the mark form (five marks in FIG.7 (b)) in the both edge parts of the cut card CC so that the cut card CC can be read in the card reading part 4. It is printed with. It should be noted that the number and position of the marks can be changed as appropriate and can be distinguished from other cards.
When the card reading unit 4 reads the cut card CC, the communication control unit 30 obtains the cut card appearance information from the card reading unit 4. The communication control unit 30 is programmed to transmit the cut card appearance information when the cut card appearance information is obtained.
In the present embodiment, the cut card appearance information is temporarily held in the memory 25 as a temporary storage unit, similarly to the information of other normal cards C and the determination result of each game. When transmission is enabled by pressing the transmission permission button 9, the cut card appearance information temporarily stored in the memory 25 is transmitted to the game monitoring pit and the central monitoring room. Unlike normal reading information of the card C and the determination result of each game, the cut card appearance information is not temporarily stored in the memory 25 as necessary in connection with fraud prevention, and transmission permission is allowed. The control unit 5 may be set by a program or the like so that it is transmitted without waiting for the operation of the button 9.
In the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 7, the control unit 5 includes a counter 24, a memory 25 (storage unit), and a number specifying unit 26. The counter 24 counts the detection signal from the UV sensor 21 and obtains the number of marks. The memory 25 stores information that associates the number of marks with the card C. The associated information is typically a table T. The number specifying unit 26 refers to the information in the memory 25 and specifies the number of cards from the number of marks.
The counter 24 can obtain two mark numbers corresponding to the two UV sensors 21. As described above, in this embodiment, a combination of the number of marks in a plurality of rows may be associated with the card C. In this case, the memory 25 stores information that associates the combination of the number of marks with the card C. Then, the number specifying unit 26 specifies the card C corresponding to the combination of the number of cards.
The object detection sensor 22 and the measurement validity determination sensor 23 are fiber sensors that detect the presence or absence of the card C. On the object detection sensor 22 and the card guide surface 17, it is located on the most upstream side along the flow direction of the card C, and the measurement validity determination sensor 23 is located on the downstream side of the object detection sensor 22. . As shown in the figure, the object detection sensor 22 and the measurement validity determination sensor 23 are provided on the upstream side and the downstream side across the reading point of the UV sensor 21.
In addition, the object detection sensor 22 and the measurement validity determination sensor 23 are arranged in the internal space of the housing 2, are fixed to the ceiling surface, and are exposed from the opening of the card guide surface 17, similarly to the UV sensor 21.
The control unit 5 controls the start and end of reading of the UV sensor 21 based on the detection signals of the object detection sensor 22 and the measurement validity determination sensor 23, and the card C has successfully passed the card guide surface 17. It is determined whether or not. It can be said that the control unit 5 includes a normal passage determination unit 27.
The first display unit 6 is controlled by the control unit 5 and displays information related to reading of the card C and the game. The first display unit 6 is a so-called monitor. The second display unit 7 includes three lamps, that is, a player victory lamp (red), a draw lamp (yellow), and a bunker victory lamp (green). These lamps are controlled by the control unit 5 and are lit to indicate the outcome of the game. That is, it can be said that the second display unit 7 is a win / loss display unit.
In the present embodiment, the monitor of the first display unit 6 is provided on the side surface of the housing 2, and the lamp of the second display unit 7 is provided on the rear end of the upper surface of the housing 2. These monitors and lamps may be disposed on the table T apart from the housing 2.
Further, the card shooter device 1 according to the present embodiment transmits the read data read from the card C by the sensor unit 16 and processed by the control unit 5 to a game monitoring pit or a central monitoring room for monitoring each game table. A communication control unit 30 and a communication terminal 8 are provided. The communication control unit 30 and the communication terminal 8 are provided in the housing 2 and correspond to the communication unit of the present invention. Here, an example in which the communication control unit 30 is provided as one of the functions of the control unit 5 will be described, but the communication control unit 30 may be provided independently of the control unit 5.
Further, a transmission permission button 9 that is operated by a dealer of the game table or the like (operator) is provided at the upper part of the housing 2 when transmission of read data is permitted. This transmission permission button 9 corresponds to the transmission permission section of the present invention.
Here, the configuration of the control unit 5 will be described in more detail. FIG. 7 is a functional block diagram of various configurations of the control unit 5. As shown in FIG. 7, the control unit 5 includes a counter 24, a memory 25, a number specifying unit 26, and a normal passage determination unit 27. Further, the control unit 5 controls the display of the win / loss determination unit 28 that determines the win / loss of the card game based on the information on the number of cards from the card reading unit 4 and the display of the first display unit 6 and the second display unit 7. A display control unit 29 and a communication control unit 30 that controls the communication terminal 8 are provided. In the memory 25, read data read from the card C by the sensor unit 16 and processed by the control unit 5 is temporarily stored. Therefore, the memory 25 corresponds to the temporary storage unit of the present invention.
The control unit 5 is a computer device and is connected to the UV sensor 21, the object detection sensor 22, and the measurement validity determination sensor 23. The control unit 5 is connected to a monitor of the first display unit 6 and three lamps of the second display unit 7 and controls these displays.
The computer of the control unit 5 has a processing function (win / loss determination unit 28) that automatically determines whether the game has been won or lost. This function is realized by incorporating a win / loss determination program into a computer, and this program is executed by a processor of the computer.
As the determination process, the computer uses the UV sensor 21 to acquire the number of cards sequentially taken out from the card shooter unit 3 to the game table T. The acquired number of cards is sequentially stored in the memory 25. At this time, information indicating to which player each card C has been dealt is also stored. That is, the number of cards is stored in association with the distribution destination player.
The card shooter device 1 of this embodiment is used in a baccarat game. In Baccarat, there are two players, a player and a bunker (here, both are called players). Then, to which player the next card C is dealt is uniquely determined from the number of cards C dealt so far and the number of each card. The computer refers to the number of cards stored in the memory 25 to determine to which player the card C read by the UV sensor 21 is dealt. The number of cards dealt in association with each player is stored in the memory 25.
Furthermore, the number of cards dealt to both players is read from the memory 25 by the computer, and the two are compared to determine the win or loss. The number of cards is summed and the sum of both is compared to determine which wins. A draw is also determined.
Thus, for baccarat, winning / losing can be automatically determined from only the number of cards sequentially taken out from the card shooter device 1. Which player the card C is dealt to may not be detected using another sensor, for example, a sensor embedded in the table T. Then, this determination result is stored in the memory 25.
The control unit 5 causes the first display unit 6 and the second display unit 7 to output the winning / losing result. The first display unit 6 displays the number read, the winning / losing result, and the like. In the second display unit 7, any one of the bunker victory lamp, the draw lamp, and the player victory lamp is turned on in accordance with the result of winning or losing.
Finally, the characteristic operation of the present invention will be described. The control unit 5 reads the read data read from the card C by the sensor unit 16 and processed by the control unit 5 into a game monitoring pit outside the device, a control device in the central monitoring room, or a display device immediately after the completion of the processing operation. Is not temporarily transmitted, but is temporarily stored in the memory 25 of the control unit 5.
Then, when a dealer or the like (operator) of the game table operates the transmission permission button 9 of the card shooter device 1, the read data temporarily stored in the memory 25 is transmitted to the game monitoring pit, the control device of the central monitoring room, or the like. The
In addition, it is good also as a structure which transmits the winning / losing determination result of each game obtained by the program provided in the control part 5 further by operation of the transmission permission button 9 based on the read data which the control part 5 determined. Moreover, it is good also as a structure which the game monitoring pit outside the table T and the control apparatus of a central monitoring room perform the win / loss determination of each game based on the transmitted reading data.
According to the card shooter device 1 of the present embodiment as described above, the read data read from the card C by the sensor unit 16 and processed by the control unit 5 is used as a game monitoring pit or a central monitoring device outside the card shooter device 1. Not sent to the room controller or display device immediately after the read processing operation is complete. Therefore, before the game table player knows the outcome of each game, the read data is sent to the game monitoring pit or the central monitoring room control device, and the person in the game monitoring pit or the central monitoring room is the card first. It is possible to prevent knowing the contents of C and winning / losing of the game. As a result, it is possible to prevent the player from contacting the game monitoring pit or the central monitoring room and performing an illegal act.
That is, according to this apparatus, information on the number of cards C read by the card reading unit 4 is temporarily stored in the memory 25 and is not transmitted immediately after completion of the card C reading processing operation. Transmission of information on the number of cards temporarily held in the memory 25 is performed after transmission is enabled by the transmission permission button 9. Thereby, it is possible to control the timing of transmitting information on the number of cards so that the supervisor cannot know the contents of the card C before the player.
Also, information on the result of the win / loss determination determined by the win / loss determination unit 28 is also temporarily stored in the memory 25 and is not transmitted immediately after the completion of the card C reading processing operation. The information on the result of the win / loss determination result temporarily held in the memory 25 is transmitted after the transmission permission button 9 enables transmission. Thereby, it is possible to control the timing for transmitting information on the result of the win / loss determination so that the monitor cannot know the game win / loss before the player.
In the present embodiment, a transmission permission button 9 operated by a game table dealer or the like (operator) is used as means corresponding to the transmission permission section of the present invention. The transmission permission unit of the present invention is for timing the transmission so that the supervisor cannot know the contents of the card or the winning or losing of the game before the player. Therefore, the transmission permission unit of the present invention has a processing function (win / loss determination unit 28) for automatically determining the game win / loss by the computer of the control unit 5, and the game win / loss is automatically determined. It is good also as a structure which transmits automatically by a program in a step. In this case, the means corresponding to the transmission permission unit of the present invention is configured by a transmission permission procedure program following the winning / losing determination program. A program for such a transmission permission procedure is incorporated in a computer, and this program is executed by a processor of the computer.
The embodiments of the present invention have been described above by way of example, but the scope of the present invention is not limited to these embodiments, and can be changed or modified according to the purpose within the scope of the claims. is there.
Although the presently preferred embodiments of the present invention have been described above, it will be understood that various modifications can be made to the present embodiments and are within the true spirit and scope of the present invention. It is intended that the appended claims include all such variations.
As described above, the card shooter device according to the present invention can control the timing of transmitting information on the number of cards so that the supervisor cannot know the contents of the cards before the player. It has an effect that it is possible to prevent an illegal act performed in cooperation between a game monitor and a player, and is useful for a baccarat game performed in a casino or the like.
