Abstract

   電源投入後からIP放送を表示するまでの時間を短くすることができる放送受信装置を提供する。放送受信装置1は、起動後に、DNSサーバのアドレスの設定を含むインターネットプロトコル(IP)に関する設定を自動的に行い、指定したチャンネルのIP放送をマルチキャスト通信にて受信するものであって、DNSサーバのアドレスの設定完了前に、予め記憶した、指定したチャンネルに対応するマルチキャストアドレスを指定して、IP網4を介したIP放送サーバ53aからのIP放送の受信を開始する。
