Abstract

A receiving apparatus (100) is provided with a receiving section (5) for receiving a stream including data signals; a signal separating section (7) for separating the data signals from the stream received by the receiving section (5); an update detecting section (16) for detecting update of the data signals separated by the signal separating section (7); and an authenticating section (18) for authenticating the transmission source of the stream when update of the data signals is detected by the update detecting section (16).
