Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for representing geographic objects on a display device, comprising the following steps: Using a first region, wherein the first region is arranged in a virtual geographic plane; using at least one second region in the virtual geographic plane, wherein the at least second region adjoins the first region or completely surrounds the first region; using an observation point, wherein the first and second regions are to be displayed from the visual angle thereof; requesting data of the geographic objects located in the first and second regions from a data storage device; calculating a representation of the geographic objects for the first and the at least second region each as a function of the observation point; graphical representation of the geographic objects on the display device, wherein the geographic objects appear as viewed from the observation point; and wherein the geographic objects arranged in the first region are represented in more detail than the geographic objects arranged in the at least second region.
