Abstract

A first mobile station device selects a second base station device that is a handover destination. It transmits a handover request to the second base station device. The second base station device assigns a C-RNTI and generates DRX control information and the like. It includes these in a handover request approval as link control information and transmits it to a first base station device. The first base station device includes the link control information in a handover command and transmits it to a mobile station device. When the mobile station device receives the handover command including the link control information, it establishes a downlink synchronization with the second base station device, the state of the mobile station device is transferred to a DRX mode, and a handover is completed. Therefore, when the mobile station device performs a handover, if an uplink synchronization with the base station device that is a handover destination is not required, the handover can be completed without accessing the base station device that is the handover destination.
