Abstract

The invention relates inter alia to an electric drive system (10), especially for rail vehicles (200). The invention is characterized in that the electric drive system comprises an electric drive unit (20) and an energy accumulator system (30) which is directly or indirectly connected to the drive unit. Said energy accumulator system comprises at least one electric energy accumulator (40, 50) and at least one electrochemical energy accumulator (60, 70).
