Abstract

The invention permits the assignment of users to an age category (young (< 18), old (>30) etc.) by means of a hearing test. The biological hearing range is tested. Young people can hear higher notes than old people for biological reasons. The system generates a series of notes individually for each user which have a different pattern depending on the age recognition required. The user is then required to account for his hearing experience to the system. The system can decide whether the user concerned is old or young depending on the pattern heard. In order, for example, to prevent older people accessing a website, it is sufficient to give an access code in a high frequency range, by generation of an audio file which is played back directly by loudspeaker on the PC on visiting the website. Older people will not understand the code and cannot input the individual access code. As young people can hear all that which older people hear but not vice versa, excluding young people takes a different approach. Here false information is added which the young hearer cannot differentiate from the correct information wherein said user is thus revealed to the system later as a young user.

Description

Altersverifikation mit Hochtönen Age verification with high tones
Stand der Technik:State of the art:
Bekannt sind Systeme, - die Personal-Ausweis-Nummern prüfenMany content on the Internet is subject to age restrictions in many countries. For example pornographic material may not be sent to young people or made accessible to you. Are known systems, - Check the personal ID numbers
- Kredit und Bankkonten erfragen Einsenden von Ausweispapieren Post-Ident- Verfahren (Ausweisprüfung am Postschalter)- ask for credit and bank accounts. Send in identity papers Post-Identification procedure (identification check at the post office counter)
Nachteil Stand der Technik:Disadvantage of the prior art:
The ID number check procedure is easy to bypass by teens (numbers can be searched on the internet) and therefore not accepted by lawmakers.
The post-identification process takes a few days and is cumbersome (way to the post office).
Credit and bank accounts, Post-Ident and sending ID documents by fax violate the anonymity needs of users. They go beyond the goal of merely determining the age of the user and reveal the identity of the visitor of a website to the service operator on the Internet. Complicated, because not adhoc can be used on the website, these Verafhren also.

The procedure can be offered centrally for all web pages and does not have to be built by the respective operator of a web service.
It is counterfeit-proof unlike identity papers, as an age-dependent biological characteristic (hearing ability) is used for verification.

Beschreibung eines Ausführungsbeispiels:Description of an embodiment:
.In one embodiment, digits in higher and lower pitches could be spoken, but close enough together not to be directly distinguishable or to use different pitches (within the high and low ranges), so that the user is unaware of which tone is high and low applies. ,

An elderly person (who only hears low tones) would hear the access code 688 and type in it.
A young man would hear 16288 and type in response. In this way, the system can see how old the user is. By varying the pitch with arbitrary selectivity. In another embodiment, a tone could slowly increase or decrease in frequency and the user would have to indicate when he will not hear the sound or hear the sound for the first time. Again, a manipulation would be excluded, if completely late details are excluded.
As the pitch increases, an older person would earlier click the button (no longer heard) than a younger one.
In another embodiment, a single tone could be played or not played. So that users do not deny each other, the sequences must always be generated differently.
The user is asked for each period if he could hear something.
