Abstract

The present invention discloses a cardboard container comprising four side walls, a bottom and an at least one upper extension extending from a side wall of the container; said upper extension comprises an at least one lateral flap; wherein the upper extension is flapped up towards the center of the container and the lateral flaps are folded downwardly and affixed to an at least one side wall other than the side wall from which the upper extension extends and a method of producing cardboard containers with affixed lateral flaps.
