Abstract
A pupil measuring device (1) comprises an eye-mark (10), infrared light sources (12L, 12R), shielding plates (13L, 13R) inserted removably into optical paths (L1, L2), lenses (14L, 14R), cameras (18L, 18R) for picking up the diaphragm reflection light from both eyes, and a pupil analyzer (21). The pupil analyzer (21) comprises a section for calculating the amount of congestion, and a section for judging steady gaze where a judgment is made whether an eye (EL) to be inspected is directed toward the eye-mark (10) during measurement based on the variation rate of the diameter of pupil of the eye (EL) to be inspected. The section for calculating the amount of congestion calculates the amount of congestion of the eye (ER) to be inspected based on the variation in position of the pupil of the eye (ER) to be inspected shielded by the shielding plate (13R). Consequently, a pupil measuring device which can enhance reliability of measurements is obtained.
