Abstract

With the interference of the upstream line with the downstream line avoided, a TDD method applied wireless relay system and a relay device are provided for making it possible to prevent the upstream line from decreasing the throughput. A relay station (200) of a wireless relay system (10) is provided with an upstream wireless receiving unit (220) to receive a frame transmitted from a subscriber station (100), and a relay processing unit (230) that transmits a slot group (ordinary slot) of the earlier part of a receiving frame through the upstream line in the same frame as the receiving frame while transmitting a slot group (expansion slot) of the later part of the receiving frame through the head of the upstream line in the next frame to the receiving frame. Thus, time for the preparation of transmission for the expansion slot is secured in the relay station to avoid the occurrence of useless spare time at a head portion of the upstream line, so that the receiving timing of the frame at the base station is prevented from overlapping a time zone of the downstream line and the throughput of the upstream line can be prevented from decreasing.
