Abstract

A method of assembling a motor unit (55), the method including mounting of the motor unit (55) on a washing machine body, where the motor unit (55) has a stator holding part (33) to be mounted on the washing machine body, a stator (5a), and a rotor (5b) having a magnet and fitted to a rotating shaft (4a) journalled on the washing machine body. The method has a first step for assembling the stator (5a) and the rotor (5b), the stator (5a) being in a state where it is not yet mounted on the stator holding part (33), the rotor (5b) being in a state where it is not yet mounted on the rotating shaft (4a) and has magnetized magnets, a second step for mounting the rotor (5b) on the rotating shaft (4a), and a third step for mounting the stator (5a) on the stator holding part (33). Assembly of the motor unit (55) to be mounted on the washing machine can be easily made with high workability and without requiring skill.
