Abstract

Method and system for secure communication in a communication network (100) are provided. The method at a first communication device includes receiving (304) a first signal from a second communication device. The method also includes sending (306) a second signal to the second communication device. Further, the method includes generating (308) a first random number, based on a power distribution pattern of the first signal. Furthermore, the method includes determining (310) a correlation between the first random number and a second random number, which is generated at the second communication device, based on the power distribution pattern of the second signal. Moreover, the method includes generating (312) an encryption key, based on the first random number when the correlation is greater than a first threshold. The encryption key is used for encrypting and decrypting information to provide the secure communication between the first communication device and the second communication device.
