Abstract

Anti-theft alarm device for tarpaulin-covered vehicles or storage areas under tarpaulin, of the type comprising a security-protected tarpaulin (1) that includes laceration detection means connected to an alarm control system for transmitting a warning signal via electrical link means. The tarpaulin (1) consists of a multilayer material that comprises two layers (12, 13) of electrically conducting materials separated by a layer (14) of an electrically insulating material, which layer (14) adheres weakly to the layers (12, 13) of electrically conducting materials, and the material of which said layer (14) is made exhibits elasticity characteristics.
