[12] Hereinafter, a cyber train ticket sales system and method using SMS according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. Fig. 1 is a schematic view of a cyber train ticket sales system using SMS according to the present invention, Fig. 2 is a block diagram of a sales server according to the present invention, Fig. 3 is a flowchart illustrating a process of issuing a cyber train ticket using SMS according to the present invention, and Fig. 4 is a flowchart illustrating a process of returning a cyber train ticket according to the present invention.
[13] As shown in Fig. 1, in a cyber train ticket sales system using SMS according to the present invention, if a train ticket purchaser connects to a sales server 20 for issuing train tickets through a client 10, such as a computer, notebook computer, cellular phone, or the like, which is connected to the wired or wireless Internet and then purchases train tickets, a cyber train ticket can be issued and transmitted through SMS to a cellular phone 50 registered by the client, and the purchaser can use the cyber train ticket. Accordingly, a user traveling by train can show the cyber train ticket received in the cellular phone to a crew working at a gate or in a train, so that the crew can examine the cyber train ticket. Therefore, since the user can purchase train tickets for changing trains while traveling in a train, the user can conveniently travel by train.
[14] The sales server according to the present invention will be described with reference to Fig. 2. The sales server 20 comprises a member management module 22, a seat management module 24, a ticket sales module 26, a payment module 29, an SMS management module 30, a transfer-to-crew module 32, a cancellation management module 34, and a variety of databases 36 to 44.
[15] The member management module 22 registers a ticket purchaser, who desires to receive a cyber train ticket into a cellular phone through the wired or wireless Internet, as a member, stores information on the ticket purchaser in the member database (DB) 36, and manages the stored member information. Although the member registration is not absolutely necessary to purchase a train ticket, if a member purchases train tickets, railroad mileage is accumulated as a benefit. Fundamentally, a name, a phone number, and the like are stored as member information.
[16] The seat management module 24 stores reservation status of each seat in the seat status DB 38 by the train type and provides the reservation status to the connected client in real-time. At this time, the seat information stored in the seat status DB 38 is updated in real-time in connection with ticket offices.
[17] The ticket sales module 26 receives information on the purchaser and the selected tickets when the connected client 10, such as a computer, a cellular phone, or the like, requests purchase of tickets, and stores information on issuance of a cyber train ticket in the ticket sales DB 40. At this time, the issuance information of the cyber train ticket includes a boarding date, train number, train type, starting and arriving stations, starting time, seat number, return number, and the like. In the meantime, the ticket sales module 26 may include an authentication number management module 28, which randomly transmits an authentication number stored in the authentication number DB 42 to the registered phone number in order to confirm authenticity of the phone number and if an authenticity number is received from the client 10, confirms whether the received authenticity number is the same as the transmitted authenticity number.
[18] The payment module 29 provides the client with a payment means, such as a credit card number input field, a deposit- without-passbook input field, or the like, in order to pay for the cyber train ticket in connection with the ticket sales module 26, and stores and manages payment details in the payment DB 44.
[19] If the payment is made through the payment module 29, the SMS management module 30 transmits, through SMS, the cyber train ticket issued from the ticket sales module 26 to the phone number registered when the cyber train ticket is purchased.
[20] If the cyber train ticket is issued in connection with the ticket sales module 26, the transfer-to-crew module 32 provides issuance information to a target train 60 of the issued train ticket. A train crew can confirm the issuance information and use it as a reference when examining train tickets.
[21] If the issued train tickets are canceled, the cancellation management module 34 receives the return number of the cyber train ticket and a refund account number, together with information on the purchaser of the train tickets, and confirms whether the received information is matched to the ticket issuance information stored in the ticket sales DB 40. If they are matched, the cancellation management module stores refund details in a refund DB, transfers refund amount into the refund account, and stores money transfer details into the payment DB 44.
[22] In addition, the control module 35 controls data flow between the modules 23 to 34.
[23] Hereinafter, a process of issuing a cyber train ticket of the present invention will be described in detail referring to Fig. 3.
[24] First, the seat management module 24 of the sales server updates information on each seat of all types of trains in real-time in connection with ticket offices where train tickets sold off-line and stores the information in the seat reservation state DB 38 (step S31).
[25] In the meantime, a purchaser who desires to purchase a cyber train ticket connects to the sales server 20 through the client 10, such as a computer, cellular phone, wireless terminal, or the like, which is connected to the wired or wireless Internet (step S32). At this time, a purchaser who desires to receive benefits such as railroad mileage or the like when purchasing cyber train tickets can use the benefits after registering as a member by inputting a name, phone number, identification (ID), password, and the like.
[26] The ticket purchaser searches for information on seats by the date, time, and train type, which the train ticket sales sever is provided to the client 10, and selects desired seats (step S33). Then, the ticket purchaser inputs the phone number of a cellular phone in which a cyber train ticket is stored, and pays for the ticket (step S34). At this time, as for a payment method, an input field for receiving a credit card number, depositing money without passbook, or using cyber points is used as a payment means, and the payment details are stored in the payment DB 44.
[27] If the payment is made, the ticket sales module 26 stores issuance information including a boarding date, train number, train type, starting and arriving stations, starting time, seat number, return number, and the like in the ticket sales DB 40 and issues a cyber train ticket (step S35).
[28] Thereafter, an authentication number stored in the authentication number DB 42 is transmitted to the phone number input by the purchaser (step S36). If the authentication number transmitted from the client is received, it is confirmed whether the authentication number received from the client is the same as the transmitted authentication number (step S37). [29] If the authentication numbers are the same (step S38), the SMS management module 30 transmits the issued cyber train ticket to the registered phone number through SMS (step S39). At this time, if the authentication number transmitted from the client is different from the authentication number provided by the sales server, mismatch of the authentication numbers is displayed, and the authentication number is received again from the client (step S40).
[30] Then, if the cyber train ticket is completely transmitted through SMS, issuance information is provided to a target train of the issued cyber train ticket, so that a train crew can confirm the cyber train ticket (step S41).
[31] Referring to Fig. 4, a process of returning a cyber train ticket of the present invention will be described in detail.
[32] A purchaser who desires to request a refund after purchasing a cyber train ticket connects to the sales server 20 through the client 10, such as a computer, cellular phone, wireless terminal, or the like, which is connected to the wired or wireless Internet (step S51). At this time, if the purchaser is a member, sales details can be easily confirmed by inputting an ID and a password.
[33] If the sales server receives the name and phone number of the purchaser and the return number contained in the cyber train ticket from the client (step S52), the sales server determines whether the information received from the client is the same as the information stored in the ticket sales DB 40 (step S53).
[34] If the sales server approves that the information received from the client is the same as the information stored in the ticket sales DB 40, the purchaser of the cyber train ticket inputs a refund account number through the client 10 (step S54).
[35] Accordingly, the sales server 20 transfers refund amount to the refund account of the purchaser and stores refund details in the payment DB (step S55). At this time, if the purchaser is a member, the mileage accumulated when the member purchased the tickets is withdrawn, and the withdrawn mileage details are stored in the member DB 36.
[36] If the purchased cyber train ticket is returned, the refund information is provided to the target train of the issued cyber train ticket, so that a train crew can confirm the cyber train ticket (step S56).
[37] Although the preferred embodiments of the present invention has been described in detail, it will be readily understood by those skilled in the art that various modifications and changes can be made thereto without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention defined by the appended claims.
