Abstract
La présente invention concerne une structure de serveurs distribuée utilisée pour la distribution d'un flux de contenu à des utilisateurs. Cette structure comprend un serveur central (20), des serveurs edge régionaux (21), des groupes locaux (30, 31, 32) de serveurs d'accès (22), des premiers liens (9), des second liens (11), des troisièmes liens (23), un protocole client/serveur de partage de fichier dans les serveurs régionaux et les serveurs d'accès. Le protocole est modifié par des listes d'occurrences (66, 71), une fenêtre glissante et un mécanisme curseur (45, 46). Le matériel de données injecté dans le serveur central est distribué à partir de là au serveurs edge et aux serveurs d'accès utilisant le protocole. Les listes d'occurrences sont utilisées pour trier le matériel injecté pour que le matériel très demandé soit stocké sur les serveurs d'accès, que le matériel moins demandé soit enregistré sur les serveurs edge et que le matériel rarement demandé soit enregistré sur le serveur central. Les serveurs d'accès sont connectés aux utilisateurs (5) par le biais de périphériques multiplexeurs/démultiplexeurs (8) et une boucle locale (7). Le matériel très populaire et les toutes dernières nouvelles seront donc enregistrées près des utilisateurs, empêchant par conséquent aux second liens entre serveurs d'accès et serveurs edge d'être surchargés. La fenêtre glissante et le mécanisme de curseur permettent la distribution intelligente de matériel très populaire et de toutes dernières nouvelles entre serveurs d'accès utilisant les troisième liens.
