Abstract

A system, apparatus (101) and method are provided for a broadcaster-provided Multimedia Home Platform (MHP) or Open Cable Applications Platform (OCAP) interactive TV application (108) that overlays a broadcaster-determined set of 'highlights' (201.i) including weather subjects and news subjects, at the top of a regular broadcast content of that broadcaster. The concept can be used for every i-TV platform, including MHP and OCAP.
