Description

"DEVICE FOR INTERCEPTING
TELEPHONE COMMUNICATION AND DEVICE FOR LOCATING TELEPHONE CHANNELS" .
The present invention is related to a patent of Priority of Invention regarding to a device for intercepting telephone communication and a device for locating telephone channels, said devices enabling more efficiently the interception of telephone communications.
Nowadays, private audio lines dedicated to interception due to judge's order are made by interconnecting multiplexation systems between telephone stations, from the target subscriber to the address determined by judge's order.
Such type of connection presents several negative sides, since it is necessary for such connection to occur labor force in all the stations involved in forwarding, i. e., if the telephone line to be intercepted is situated in a location very distant from the address of the telephone line of the interception established by judge's order, all the telephone stations situated between them will be mobilized.
Another negative aspect relates to the material to be used, since the connection between the line to intercepted and the intercepting line occurs by physical means, i. e., it is necessary a new pair of telephone wiring to be connected, at least, from the line to be intercepted to the nearest center.
It also occurs that the wiring connection in all stations involved, for the line to be duly- intercepted, occurs around twenty-four hours after legal request. This feature becomes extremely undesirable due to the fact there is a loss of twenty-four hours of possible communications that would not be intercepted.
The context above described will be better understood by observing Fig. 1, wherein arrow A represents the target user to be intercepted, arrow F represents the parallel connection existing between user A and first center C. The other centers are referred by arrow C and the number/address for interception is referred by arrow E .
The entire context above described occurs when the telephone line to be intercepted is a Private Line (PL) , wherein it presents physical connections through pairs of metallic wiring. However, there are other technologies that are applied to the concept of telephony, such as wireless technology and optical cabinets, in which it is not possible to allocate a fixed telephone channel . These types of technology present dynamic allocations for telephone channels, i. e., there is a lower number of telephone channels relative to the number of subscribing users, thus a user does not occupy the same channel. These types of technology use code V5.2 for communication protocol.
The current solution previewed by the state of art does not comprise intercepting any of the technologies above mentioned, since it is not a dynamic allocation, it is not possible to foresee which channel the line to be intercepted is using.
Facing the star of art, the present patent of Priority of Invention was developed, which aims to solve all the problems above mentioned.
The present patent will be described in detail based in Figs, below, in which: Fig. 1 illustrates schematically the interception currently occurring; and Fig. 2 illustrates a schematic connection of the telephone communication intercepting device.
This patent of Priority of
Invention was developed aiming to optimize the resources used in secrecy processes (telephone interceptions) legally requested.
For complete explanation of the telephone communication intercepting device herein, it is necessary to understand the technical terms used in telecommunication, and such terms are: - "number A": user remitting call, i. e., the user that sends the call .
- "number B": user addressee of the call, i. e., the user receiving the call .
One of the objects of the present patent relates to an intelligent device allowing monitoring any user of the telephone network, being "number A" , or "number B" , through the automatic remote access to a recording equipment "C", at any point, without needing physical connection between the target user and the safety equipment, which is currently made through private line (PL) .
In case of telephone lines with pairs of metallic wiring, the telephone communication intercepting device relates to an "IPL" (Intelligent Private Line) circuit that performs predetermined actions through specific stimuli .
The equipment is inserted in parallel and in high impedance to the line target subscriber line determined by judge's order, from the wiring core at the telephone center.
When the target user is
"number A" , by taking the monophone off the hook to make a call, the "IPL" (Intelligent Private Line) circuit performs the following functions:
- Stores, by means of a BINA, "number B".
- Performs a second telephone call through another line to an investigation location number and actuates recording equipment "C" , informing that a call is being originated from target user.
- Informs "number B" to equipment "C" .
- At this point, equipment "C" is able to record the target subscriber's call. - After equipment "C" is prepared, the "IPL" (Intelligent Private Line) circuit only oversees the call, which is normally completed, already monitored by equipment "C" .
- Once the connection is stopped, the "IPL" (Intelligent Private Line) circuit disconnects and prepares to the next call.
When the target user is
"number B", by answering a call, even before receiving the "ring" (audible bell) , the "IPL" (Intelligent Private Line) circuit performs the following functions:
- It stores, by means of a BINA, "number B".
- It actuates recording equipment "C" from the investigation location, informing the answering of a call addressed to target user.
- It informs "number A" to equipment "C" .
- At this point, equipment "C" is ready to record the target subscriber's call.
It must be pointed out that, in some cases, the investigation location has obsolete equipment which does not perform telephone reception, i. e., once it answers the call it does not simulate taking the phone off the hook. Thus, "IPL" (Intelligent Private Line) equipment also has a device directed to the telephone center which answers the investigation location simulating answering a telephone call and forwards the audio information to the recording equipment . Fig. 2 illustrates a schematic connection from the telephone communication intercepting device, where the target subscriber is represented by arrow A. The parallel section in high impedance is represented by arrow P, "IPL" (Intelligent Private Line) circuit is represented by arrow L, recording equipment "C" is represented by arrow C, arrow H represents the call, and arrow T represents the answering. In the specific case of the figure, target subscriber is "number A". It must be pointed out that another telephone point is indicated by arrow X.
The present invention enables the following advantages:
- Saving material, logistics and human resources used; - Diminishing answering time if compared to current practices;
- Easy handling and implementation;
- Remote supervision of the equipment;
- Programming "IPL" (Intelligent Private Line) circuit is remotely performed through a command, without need to dislocate several personnel;
- The interception of the telephone line is made without suspicions from the target subscriber;
Increasing safety, diminishing the number of people involved in the process;
- The monitored calls are forwarded to the investigations locations through a second call in another telephone line, thus the transmission means become dynamic, thus avoiding braking the investigation secrecy,- and
- It is applicable to any equipment, not depending on the technology.
In cases of wireless technology and optical cabinets, the "IPL" (Intelligent Private Line) circuit needs, in order to intercept the communication, the aid from telephone channel locating device, such device is also object of the present patent.
According to the above described, even using "IPL" (Intelligent Private Line) circuit, there is still the impossibility of intercepting communications performed by telephones using wireless technology and optical cabinets due to the dynamic exchange of channels, what makes the channel tracking impossible. To solve this problem, a telephone channel locating device was developed.
The telephone channel locating device relates to a switch for intercepting systems with code V5.2. The switch for intercepting systems with code V5.2 is a circuit inserted in parallel in high impedance to the transmission and reception ways of the system El (2M BITS) between the controlling unit of the wireless or optical cabinet equipment. Such circuit checks channel 16 of the system, all the signaling of the channels transiting thereby, thus whenever the target subscriber, as determined by judge's order, uses the telephone, the port code of this subscriber will be shown in the signaling and consequently detected by the switch circuit, which will identify in which channel the information transits, thus enabling monitoring and intercepting this information that will be transmitted to the investigation locations through the telephone communication intercepting device, i. e., "IPL" (Intelligent Private Line) circuit.
Facing the above, it is apparent to observe the countless advantages the telephone communication intercepting device, as well as the telephone channel locating device, provide to the legal interception of telephone lines, since the use of these two devices permits a simpler, faster, more secret and cheaper interception .
