Abstract

A link (106) for connecting at least one securing member (103), such as chain, with a locking device (100) having a body (111) and a shackle (102), where the link (106) comprises a base (107) having a through hole (101) adapted to receive the shackle (102) of a locking device (100) and a first securing element (109) associated with the base, the first securing element (109) adapted to receive a first securing member (103), wherein the shackle (102) of a lock (100) may be inserted through the through hole (101) such that the lock (100) blocks the first securing member (103) from being separated from the securing element (109). Also disclosed is a system for securing a locking device having a handle (202) hinged to a vertical lockrod (200), where the system comprises a strap (206) and a link (208) adapted to be installed upon the vertical lockrod (200) and handle (202) such that the handle (202) is prevented from being manipulated in such a manner as to unlock the locking device.
