Abstract

A device for contactless capacitative filling level measurement of a medium (7) in a vessel (6) with at least sections of electrically non-conducting wall areas, wherein at least one transmission electrode (1) and at least one reception electrode (2,2',2',2' ) are provided, partially surrounding the vessel (6) with the medium (7). The invention is characterized in that an electrically conducting shield (3) fully covers at least one reception electrode on the side facing away from the vessel (6) and is electrically insulated from the reception electrode (2,2',2',2' ). As a result, it is possible to receive stable filling level signals devoid of interference on the reception electrode (2,2',2',2' ) even during simultaneous operation of other devices with high-frequency voltage sources, even when there are high interference field amplitudes in the immediate vicinity of the device, for contactless capacitative filling level measurement.
